Same old story with other insurance scams through the years that when enough people are harmed and the law suits start piling in are they forced to change. Then some doctors raise their prices to compensate making things worse for Patients. The insurance industry gets richer because so called insured can’t pay. The pt gets poorer and sicker. Same game different people.

DOJ To Give Money From Bank Of America Settlement To Liberal Activist Groups

The Daily Caller

Judicial Watch reports that the Department of Justice is giving liberal activist groups money from a $16.6 billion settlement with Bank of America.

The groups benefitting from the lawsuit, according to Investor’s Business Daily, are the National Council of La Raza, Operation Hope, National Community Reinvestment Coalition, and Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America. The money also went to “delinquent borrowers” in Chicago, Oakland, Detroit, Philadelphia, and other major “Democrat strongholds.”

“This is a wealth redistribution scheme disguised as a lawsuit,” Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, told The Daily Caller. “And who benefits from the distribution? Interest groups the administration relies on, outside interest groups, allies and politicians in communities trying to benefit as well.”

Fitton noted that these liberal groups are basically what’s left of the Association of Community Organization for Reform Now (ACORN) network, and that President Barack Obama has ties to ACORN.

“You have La Raza that’s getting money, their former head is at the White House in a top position whose funding from the Census has gone up immensely under the Obama administration,” Fitton said.

La Raza, Operation Hope, National Community Reinvestment Coalition, and Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America have all intimidated banks to give loans to minorities, even if they can’t afford to pay them back.

This is part of an ongoing scheme in which the DOJ puts the money it has gotten from bank settlementsin a slush fund and then funneled the money to liberal groups. Judicial Watch points out that liberal groups — many of which are the same ones benefiting from this lawsuit — also received money from multi-billion settlements from JP Morgan Chase and Citibank, as well as a $335 million settlement from Countrywide Financial Corporation.

“What we need is an honest Justice Department run by people who make a commitment to the rule of law rather using their power to extort and benefit more government and their political allies.” Fitton said. “This is no better than Tammany Hall.”

Japan economy in doldrums, as incomes and spending languish

Posted by Floridagold @ 21:01 on August 28, 2014

(AP:TOKYO) TOKYO (AP) — Japan reports its economy remained stalled in July, as wages fell further and household spending dropped, signaling continued weakness in the world’s third-largest economy.

Data released Friday showed inflation remained flat, with the core consumer price index, excluding volatile fresh food prices, at 3.3 percent, same as a month earlier. Much of the increase stems from a 2 percentage point increase in the sales tax in April, which has since sapped much of the steam from Japan’s recovery.

Real incomes fell 6.2 percent, as the unemployment rate edged higher, to 3.8 percent from 3.7 percent in June. Softness in the labor market would counter any moves toward higher wages that might help spur more consumer demand.

The government plans extra stimulus spending to counter lingering effects of the tax hike.

2 CALIFORNIA COUNTIES ASK TO FORM SEPARATE STATE

2 CALIFORNIA COUNTIES ASK TO FORM SEPARATE STATE

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Representatives of two counties in far Northern California petitioned state officials Thursday for the right to form a 51st state called Jefferson, formally asking state lawmakers to vote on their proposal.

Modoc and Siskiyou counties, which share a border with Oregon and have a combined population of about 53,000, submitted petitions from their county governments to the secretaries of the state Assembly and Senate after filing a petition complaining about a lack of representation to the secretary of state.

Organizer Mark Baird told a crowd of about 70 supporters at a rally outside the state Capitol that residents of as many as 10 counties “would be free to create a small state with limited government.”

“We don’t need government from a state telling people in a county what to do with their resources and their children’s education. You are better equipped to educate your children than the state or federal government,” Baird said to applause.

Six counties have so far approved plans to pursue secession, either through elected officials or at the ballot box, and supporters plan to submit more petitions in the coming months. Voters in two counties considered the idea in the June primary, with Tehama voters approving secession and Del Norte voters rejecting it.

On Thursday, supporters waved flags and wore T-shirts bearing the movement’s logo: two X’s and a coiled snake that said “State of Jefferson. Don’t tread on me.”

Later, a group of about 10 of them pushed past the dozens of lobbyists lining the halls of the Capitol for the final week of legislative session to deliver their petitions to the clerks’ offices, where staff members were slightly confused.

“We fully expect to be ignored,” Baird said.

The filings were the first step in building a legal case that supporters believe will allow them to secede from California. They say the U.S. Constitution allows a region to petition the government for secession. If lawmakers ignore the petition, Jefferson proponents say it will give them standing to file a lawsuit.

Critics question how an area with a relatively low tax base and small population could afford to pay for basic services such as schools and roads.

“It would reawaken the rural economy if it were unleashed from urban control,” said Brandon Criss, a Siskiyou County supervisor who voted for secession. “California has over 500 government agencies micromanaging the people.”

Residents would choose how to set up their government, which services to provide and how to pay for them, he said.

Earlier this summer, Silicon Valley venture capitalist Tim Draper submitted signatures for a ballot initiative seeking to split California into six separate states, including a northern one to be called Jefferson. If his petition has enough valid signatures, it could appear on the statewide ballot in 2016.

Baird said Draper’s heart is in the right place but that his proposal would not have the required legal standing.

I’ve been thinking for a long time that it feels like the Fed Note has been quietly re-backed with AU and AG at $1300 and $20. I would not be surprised if China et al are being allowed to redeem trade surplus dollars for Gold and Silver at these prices.

I also suspect TPTB FORCED Gold and Silver to hit $1900 and $48 to FORCE people into selling some, force producers into over producing more, with the INTENSION of acquiring supply, and giving it to trading partners at lower fixed prices. To maintain the status quo.

You might think…Why would TPTB buy Gold at $1900 and redeem it later on after the pouncing, for $1300? Because they can create all the artificial paper and digit dollars they want to take or get gold.

Think about all the bailouts. It had to be artificially created money.

Has it Occurred to anyone?

Posted by Mr.GoldBug @ 20:28 on August 28, 2014

that the PTB are just trying to keep Silver Just under $20 and Gold just under $1300 ???

(nice round psychological numbers)

Are any of you seeing any little signs of contraction? Or reversal of the past?

Buygold @ 16:43 re Dr. Keith Smith – the smartest Dr. in America.

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 19:10 on August 28, 2014

That video is clear iron clad evidence of reversal.

Like I keep saying….Everything is in reverse. The entire US gov’t taxpayer supported medical industry is in the exact same position Detroit car building was in 1975. Topping out after 30 great years ’45-75, PEAKING OUT and going into a slow stealth decline.

MARK MY WORDS. Unless of course a sudden burst of higher wages and prosperity for tax PAYERS. (tax absorbers are on the hot seat) Not likely. Transition mode. New future.

A family member has had an medical situation, and in all the diagnosis and hospital facilities I’ve been going to the past 5-6 months, I look around, get suspicious, and I ask questions to the nurses receptionists employees etc.

I start by asking…So how is it since Obama care? Are you getting a lot more work? (meanwhile I see the place is like ghost town) One lady said…..

“Oh my god, I’m doing this 30 years and I’ve never seen anything like this. So slow. People are not coming in anymore.” “The co-pays and deductibles are too high.”

Bottom line. The summer ’08 meltdown was a message. The tax PAYERS and gov’t borrowing, can no longer be used to artificially support the economy.

Basically, back in the day, when they started Medicare Medicaid etc, in REALITY it was another JOBS creation bill, like prior defense spending. When nobody had medical insurance, health care was cheap.

The deal was between YOU and the DOCTOR. Now like the video suggested, there is a big fat bloated insurance industry (like GM) as a middle man. m/c
