We can thank the Clintons for the tough on crime policies back in 94 and the congress who voted on them from schools to increasing sentences and building new prisons. Then came NAFTA allowing jobs to cross borders. They are just backward thinking. What caused the rebellion of the 80s and 90s of children looked at as something to fear? Them, trying to play parent and a lousy abusive one at that making it worse by using Schools s a gate way to prisons. And instead of keeping jobs here not by force but incentive they signed them away. Much damage was done during those years that were increasingly abused by zero intelligence inforcers through time. It is also discrimitave. Now their starting to re think them. Duh

just say no.

“As a retired physician, I can honestly say that unless you are in a serious accident, your best chance of living to a ripe old age is to avoid doctors and hospitals and learn nutrition and other forms of natural medicine unless you are fortunate enough to have a Maximized Living doctor (emphasis mine) available. Almost all drugs are toxic and are designed only to treat symptoms and not to cure anyone. Vaccines are highly dangerous, have never been adequately studied or proven to be effective, and have a poor risk/reward ratio. Most surgery is unnecessary and most textbooks of medicine are inaccurate and deceptive. Almost every disease is said to be idiopathic (without known cause) or genetic – although this is untrue. In short, our main stream medical system is hopelessly inept and/or corrupt. The treatment of cancer and degenerative diseases is a national scandal. The sooner you learn this, the better off you will be.” -Dr. Allan Greenberg

‘Cyborg’ spinal implant could help paralysed walk again

Paralysed patients have been given new hope of recovery after rats with severe spinal injuries walked again through a ‘groundbreaking’ new cyborg-style implant.

In technology which could have come straight out of a science fiction novel or Hollwood movie, French scientists have created a thin prosthetic ribbon, embedded with electrodes, which lies along the spinal cord and delivers electrical impulses and drugs.

The prosthetic, described by British experts as ‘quite remarkable’, is soft enough to bend with tissue surrounding the backbone to avoid discomfort.

Paralysed rats who were fitted with the implant were able to walk on their own again after just a few weeks of training.

Researchers at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne are hoping to move to clinical trials in humans soon. They believe that a device could last 10 years in humans before needing to be replaced.

GTIM until TSHTF – it’s in a great position, small cap, tightly held, and winning restaurant concepts playing to those who have $$$

Heck, what makes you think the precious stocks will do well when TSHTF? Some good money has been made in the gold/silver stocks since late Nov – early Dec until now. And more will likely be made in the coming months, it seems.

But hold them till this ball of string comes undone? I think not. I think I’ll want something besides stocks when the undoing arrives. It is still a long ways off…since the entire system is now corrupted and we have generations of govvy educated idiots playing the lemmings role…who or what will put a stop to it all? Musical chairs being played now; and the music just started…

Wonder whose pocket it went in?

Kiera really liked making things react together and was going to try to make a baking soda and vinegar volcano, but the teacher said that was for kids in lower grades.

As an honor student, she wanted to do something impressive, so she looked around for something more advanced.

After putting two ounces of toilet bowl cleaner into a container, she dropped in a ball of aluminum foil, and covered it when—pff! The lid popped off and smoke started pouring out.

Not one to get in trouble for anything, Kiera felt pretty nervous as she was called into the principal’s office.

But little did she know just how serious her punishment would be.

For her botched chemistry experiment she was charged with possession of a weapon and the assembling of a bomb on campus.

So that day, rather than leaving the office with demerits, she was escorted out in handcuffs.

The charges were dropped after outrage from the community, but Kiera’s humiliation and criminal record remained.

Put into a center for kids that have been kicked out of school, her whole education was thrown off track. No more cello lessons, no more German classes, and no more dignity when entering the classroom.

Once an aspiring scientist, do you think she will ever try an experiment without thinking of how the handcuffs cut into her wrists?

In classes, do you think she will ever dare to argue against a teacher or do anything that could possibly have her sent back to the principal’s office?

Hers is far from being an isolated case. In fact, Kiera is just one of over 260,000 students that were reported to law enforcement by their schools in 2012, the most-recent available data.

Throwing an eraser, chewing gum in class, wearing too much perfume—these have all landed kids with misdemeanor charges or in policy custody.

This is all a part of the authorities’ “zero-tolerance policy”.

“You cuss out a teacher, you get a ticket, period”, said one bureau chief.

What do you think it does to a kid to be labeled so early on as a criminal? I can assure you, it’s nothing good.

Their likelihood of graduating from high school plummets, as does the proportion with jobs by the age of 25.

It’s often not made clear in the records what exactly the offence was, so no matter how trivial the “incident” that took place, these kids will be haunted by their criminal records for the rest of their lives.

Take Kiera for example—who is going to hire a girl who has it on file that she tried to make a bomb at her school?

It took 17-months of legal battles with help from the American Civil Liberties Union and thousands of petitions signed to support her case in order for Kiera to get her record expunged.

But she was lucky her case had made headlines, while most continue to struggle alone.

With their opportunities limited and already being labeled criminals, many who otherwise wouldn’t have, go on to engage in more criminal activity.

Of course the threat of government punishment only rises with adulthood.

Over the past 20 years, police have made more than a quarter of a billion arrests, so that now nearly one-third of the American population are on file in the FBI’s master criminal database.

But what are these arrests even for? Murder, theft, and fraud only make up a minor proportion of this number. The rest are for a range of violations that are generally victimless and often absurd.

This is now a country where collecting your own rainwater or feeding the homeless is a crime.

By criminalizing every activity under the sun for both adults and children, the government is using the threat of violence (or sometimes actual violence) to create a docile, obedient, and subservient population.

You never know what could be against the law, so you’re better off playing it safe by trying not to step out of line in any way possible.

Critical-thinking, creativity, dissent, and experimentation have all been replaced with fear, as the people in the ‘Land of the Free’ are gradually made into obedient serfs.

Any parent trying to raise kids in Southern California back in 70-80s and on who’s kids were harassed by playing out side by illegals or  steal or bully the younger kids then get harassed again from police for either picking on the poor illegals for defending themselves from them or getting  accused with something for parents even letting them go out to play because of it knows how backwards they system is. The result was the americans got the out of there to protect their kids plus cars plus over crowded non English speaking school system plus belongings and anything not nailed down, grafitty on their fences, drugs, gamgs, ruining a lot of neighborhood that once were safe.  Once they get away with one thing they move to the next. Pretty soon there will be no where for kids to play if they have their way.

Guessing their gonna devise a way to make kids pay for play. Does that surprise any of us. Instead they could move to more dangerous places as a result. They want to turn kids into couch potatoes listening to propaganda and smut or playing video games afraid to go out without breaking some ordnance to is slaves they made up.

@Maddog re The dollar is moving like there is something very big going on

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 13:01 on January 8, 2015

Remember way back when Obama on TV pleading to businesses said …”America needs a raise”? Well, a lot of general people are getting a raise with lower energy prices. Also its not the first time we have falling heating oil in the winter time.

Unfortunately, energy business and people are losing out. Everybody gets a turn for feast or famine. Sectors, countries, etc. The Oil glut dropping prices story? I don’t buy it. I see TPTB doing a stronger dollar play causing lower oil.

I also think TPTB lowered the dollar to stimulate European countries and Japan. My question is…How long will they run this trend? The USA imo was the global beneficiary from 2009 until June 2014, 5 years. Will we get a one year hit with 6 months left? Or a 5 year hit? Hit meaning stronger dollar.

And Q-E?? Its meaningless with interest rates going down anyway without Q-E.

A great example of how mad it all is

Posted by Maddog @ 12:12 on January 8, 2015

Santander is now Europes largest bank, it is Spanish and therefore chock full of dodgy property loans, to name just one of the thousands of crap “assetts” in its basement. It is the poster child of all that is wrong in the EU…….and then we get this……

All is clearly not well below the surface. Europe’s largest bank (by market value) has admitted in a regulatory filing that it needs to raise capital. As WSJ reports, Banco Santander SA said it would raise up to €7.5 billion ($8.88 billion) in a capital hike, a bid to address long-running concerns among investors and analysts that its financial cushion was weaker than peers. European banking stocks are up over 2% today as Italian banks surge
limit up (BMPS +13%) on speculation that they will be purchased by Santander (who ‘pumpers’ believe are raising this capital to go on a spending spree) and ‘old’ Draghi headlines.

You may be right about a smash tomorrow, I’m surprised we’re holding up as well as we are today with the DOW now positive for 2015.

At some point I have to think the Fed is going to need to talk the USD down.
