Toshiba recently revealed the next robot they’re planning to send down into the chamber of horrors that is the containment vessel so they can get the first images of what they’re actually dealing with. The radiation close-up is so intense that it drives robots haywire! Get that. There’s not yet any idea of what really is going on – so meanwhile, an everlasting stream of seawater is sent soaring into the harsh sky above the outer containment building in an effort to maintain at least some semblance of stability – that is – to keep the seething nuclear mass from going mass-critical!
Ever heard of skyshine? That’s the effect of radiation projected upwards by the outer containment building and then back downwards, reflecting from air molecules, and onto anything and anyone who dares venture within a few hundred yards.
It’s a big, eternal mess, and would easily qualify as one of the great biblical plagues of Armageddon.
that allowed the seething mass of nuclear horror reach the ground and begin to bubble its way, searing the earth as it melts the ground on which it sits as it sinks farther and farther into the soil.”
