Loading ...Why NOT ! A business man must invest his AFTER TAX SAVINGS or BORROWED MONEY for which he has probably given a personal guarantee in order to create that job ! YOU want JOBS ? Stop punishing him ! When I started in business in 1969 It took $ 25,000 to create each and every job I created 20 jobs x$25,000=250,000 to create a fast food job ! Who thanked me ? nobody….Some from savings most from debt with a personal guarantee.I risked my home my future earnings bankruptsy everything ! I spent most of my effort training employees that couldent either read or write or give change for a DOLLAR .I was astounded at how ignorant they were ! The schools didnt teach them anything usefull .They couldent speak English ,write a check ,give change for a Dollar .
I have had two businesses the garment business from 1957 to 1969 ,I and my Dad spent a lifetime building it only to have the Government decide for us that Americans didn’t want those manufacturing jobs anymore ! I wonder how those women and middle age widows make a living today ? Who hires them ,who teaches them to sew ,to speak english,to produce something of quality that someone would buy ? What did my efforts get me ?
From 1969 on after the Government gave away my Garment making business to Japan ,Puerto Rico,China .I decided to remake myself ,risk everything and start over in a domestic Fast Food business that couldent be exported .Thats when I moved to Virginia and encountered other problems of Government failures ,education ,half of the employees couldent give change for a dollar when I hired them .I taught them to be polite ,be clean,give proper change ,wash their hands . Speak English again ! In return the Government charged me with discrimination if I didnt hire the morons they sent to me ,but I insisted on being discriminate and hire those that were trainable ! They would test me and sent employees that were unemployable and demanded to explain why I didnt hire who they sent to me whenever I placed an AD in the Papers .Prove you didnt discriminate they told me .
I stopped placing ads ..that became a problem. JUST whose business is this? The government didnt lend me any money ,they didnt subsidise me in any way .They were using me to solve their problems ! You want to create jobs ?let the business choose who they will hire without intimidation ,let the business train them as they want .Let business make their own rules on PAY,HOURS ,work rules ,THEY are educating, training, Paying wages,SOC SEC contributions insuring, giving unemployment benefits teachin them how to be civilized. Stop Punishing employers.
Employees have a choice ,they can go seek employment anywhere , go somewhere else if your not being paid enough or not getting trained properly,the employer dosent owe you anything ! Be nice to him .I hired a young lady one time who agreed to work week -ends..the very first week end she called in “I cant work Saturdey ,but I can come in Monday ..I said dont bother ,I dont need you Monday its a slow day..”WHY YOU MOther Fu____she said to me ! ..Well I fired her before she even started ! Then she filed a discrimination complaint ..STOP discriminating against the Employers ! My next busines was just one employee …me …! THE GOVERNMENT wonders why unemployment is so high ,I can write a book on the subject ! I got a PHD from experience….Government creates UN EMPLOYMENT …
