Heads up BG, driving from Phoenix to Sun Valley for skiing first week of March.

Not sure of schedule yet but if we can meet up that would be cool. Leaving for Palm Springs in the morrow for golf first.

P.S. tried to meet ipso (sorry ips) about 5 years ago and my big city driving and new cell phone plan didn’t jive well with a redneck Canuck.

I have an easier time identifying Maya trains in the middle of hicksville USA than anything with an off ramp.

Road trip!

I really hope Edelson is right an that the COT Reports are meaningless. Believe me, I have as much at stake in gold as anyone here, if not more.

The idea that they HAVE to cover their shorts is an interesting one. I’m not sure the big banks ever HAVE to cover their shorts in anything. Especially the pm shares.

Gawd I hope Turd and Ballanger are wrong, it would be nice to see those bankster F**k’s get caught in a short squeeze for a change.

I’ve never seen it but…the beat goes on.

Don’t show this to Mr Armstrong or Mr Turd-eye.

This is reality.  http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-02-20/what-happens-gold-when-citizens-lose-faith-fiat-currency

This is what happens to the losers in a currency war, but eventually all that hold paper money will be losers.

The one that seems to win will be the biggest loser as their currency sky rockets then starts to flow back into their country.

Hyperinflation as all the Money comes home, trillions of dollars.

By the way, we have read recently that the Bureaus and army chiefs have been doling out billions in cash to keep the foreign leaders appeased.

How many of those dollars were fake?

What if the US Forces chiefs have been distributing forged notes in the war zones?

I wonder about unintended consequences.  Rich

Larry Edelson’s comment on COT

Posted by overton @ 10:46 on February 21, 2016

“Tom writes in that he’s been reading about naked shorts on silver at the COMEX and how it drives down silver’s price. “Is it possible for you to include in your reports a brief summary of the net long and short positions for the silver and gold traders on the COMEX? Your readers would find it most interesting.”

Well, Tom, that information – it’s called Commitment of Traders reports, a lot of people cite it – is useless information. There are so many games that can be played with that information that it’s just entirely useless and it changes by the day and it is of no value when making trading decisions. The only thing you need to know is that when there’s a lot of open shorts in any market, whether it’s Facebook or silver, is that those shorts eventually have to cover which gives the market the energy to turn around and start a new bull market and vice versa for lots of open longs. Eventually they have to take profit and that causes a correction. That’s all you need to know. Monitoring the commercials and the small speculators and the Commitment of Traders reports, they’re really useless. I did it in the ’80s. I got no value out of it whatsoever. Most analysts don’t even look at them anymore.”

Agree with Ballanger on this one:

” I place very little emphasis on chart lines or formations like “Gravestone Doji’s” or “head-and- shoulders” tops or bottoms in the decision-making process for reasons I have documented in this publication countless times in the past”

The charts look great, the COT Report does not, and as he states the COT has won time and time again over the last several months.

Sad state of affairs. Hope he’s wrong.
