Speaking of sober…..the manipulation is about preserving the fractional reserve credit based currency system. Nothing more….nothing less.
Fractional reserve banking, and it’s corollary credit based currency, is the foundation upon which all power of the establishment rests.
Gold, or more specifically higher gold prices threaten the confidence that system needs to function.
All else is just smoke and mirrors. Jim Rickards knows this and is just plain disingenuous to suggest otherwise.

I agree, a higher gold price is a threat to national security. So the gold price is manipulated downwards. Simple as that.
