I prefer this analogy:
If you had some financial difficulties but didn’t wish to worry your wife, you might sell a few bits of her less-favored jewellery.
If your difficulties continued, you might sell a few more.
Eventually, you might need to sell some of her favorite jewellery.
At which point you might worry she will notice.
Time to stage a burglary.
I wonder what “burglary” the central planners of the West will stage to conceal their epic economic mismanagement?
“Russian hackers” breaking in to the banking system and “stealing all our money”?
