“Still pretty depressing that war always seems inevitable.”

Geez how many wars are going on? Plus terrorism. Plenty of bucks for the “Merchants of Death.”

To be expected I guess. Maybe it’s not that big a deal and ZH blew it up.

Oil isn’t doing much and neither is gold. Markets always seem to know.

Still pretty depressing that war always seems inevitable.

Iranian forces in Syria shell Israeli army bases on Golan: Israel

JERUSALEM/BEIRUT (Reuters) – Iranian forces in Syria shelled Israeli army outposts on Thursday but caused no casualties, the Israeli military said, and the Syrian military was later quoted as saying its air defenses had confronted Israeli rocket fire on its territory.

Sounds like a bigger deal on ZH. But maybe they have more current info.

All else fails you can get charcoal at fish aquarium stores and cotton anywhere.

But acid rain can contaminate household water supplies by leaching metals from building and plumbing materials, the USGS says.
That includes rooftop rainwater-catchment systems that Hawaii residents use for drinking water.

“In 1988, the drinking water of nearly 40% of homes using such systems in the Kona Districts of the island was found to be contaminated with lead leached by acid rain,” the USGS says. “Tests confirmed that the blood of some residents of these homes had elevated lead levels.”
Businger told Hawaii News Now that acid rain is not an immediate health hazard, adding that it’s “the least of their (residents) worries.”

I’m sure that there’s monetary warfare being conducted on Iran although it takes a lot of government fiddling to get the inflation rate up to 75%. Yikes!

Gold price at market close instead of midnight

Yesterday 15.00 hrs Gold 1307

Today 15.00 hrs Gold 1315

Daily change +$8.00

Not -$4.00

They can do wonders by lifting the price at 23.00 and then drip dropping it after midnight.

I have less than zero admiration for the Mad Mullahs in Iran…but ain’t it strange that the Rial falls apart right on cue, the Ruble is as also regularly wacked.

The Rig has more than one use it seems.

That damn near every break out fails, tells much about the Rig.

We’ll probably be left alone tdy, as their beloved SM is flying…because it is Wednesday.

Lol That can depend on cycles or what direction it’s going. Exactly why I don’t like the buy and hold except maybe core as some hold or few positions just to remind you when they do lol in a downtrend. People tend to get carried away in a uptrend and think it will never end till it does. Commodities are to fickle to do that. Then they sell in the downtrend and think they’re purposely getting washed out sometimes then it starts again. But in a down trend it may not even recoupe your loses in a bounce depending. So people wind up holding their life away. Again why I don’t like buy and hold with commodities,
Then again even the general market every so many years if your not watching they’ll take back your gains.
Anyways in a down trend any bounce won’t last and you can’t afford less you have a fast platform and then go short and the headache to day trade. People get nervous after a fall and as I predict ideas back then it was gonna be a slow take down and it was more than slow and painful. Right now it’s holding which is amazing in itself.

The Iranian Rial’s Economic Death Spiral

Posted by ipso facto @ 14:31 on May 9, 2018

The Grim Reaper has taken his scythe to the Iranian rial (see chart below). The Islamic Republic of Iran remains in the ever-tightening grip of an economic death spiral. The economy is ever-vulnerable because of problems created by the last Shah, and added to massively by the theocratic regime. Indeed, the economy is more vulnerable to both internal and external shocks than ever. That vulnerability will become more apparent in the face of President Trump’s tearing up of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and the laying on of more primary and secondary sanctions against Iran.

How fast the death spiral will spin is anyone’s guess.

I guess TA is relevant to finding the breakouts, because pretty much every breakout fails.

I’ve never seen anything flat line as long as the pm shares have for the last couple of years.
