Loading ...I think the Hawaiian State Government is whistling past the graveyard. Nobody know what mother nature is up to and a massive volcanic eruption is not beyond possibility. I think that mandatory evacuations should begin within 10 miles from the current lava flows to the safer parts of the island. One of the big dangers now is the underground water mixing in with the lava that can cause explosive outburst that can blast huge rocks very far. Besides the threat of volcanic activity is the threat of massive landslides that could see part of the island slide into the sea. The Island of Hawaii really is just a big mountain coming up from the ocean floor. It would not be the first time. I think too many people are getting a false sense of security by watching the slow moving lava. You cannot outrun an explosion.
