I bet it’s easy to noodle Piranhas in Belize. Probably catch a lot of them all at once.

For a little added excitement, maybe Ipso would like to noodle a few gators in the Mopan River in Belize.

The Boers in South Africa are an amazingly talented and resourceful group of people . The Russians have millions of acres of land on the Steppes that can be farmed by competent people. In 25 years, the Russians will own the wheat world market since it can be grown practically anywhere. Putin is hard at work to expand industry, mining, oil and agriculture in Russia. He has been very careful to exclude foreigners.

It’s the old story of beating swords into plow shares. Then again, the old joke about those that beat their swords in plow shares will plow for those that don’t.

I have been hearing a few rumors of some of the bigger players are beginning to move from stocks to commodities.

About that eurodollar thing, they trade like the old 90 and 180 day tbill contracts. A small move in short term rates will cause a big move in the eurodollar.

That sounds like more fun than noodling for water moccasins or snapping turtles like RNO is always trying to get me to do. 🙂

“What could be more fun?”

Noodling for Lava-Bombs?  The river is only five miles away.  🙂

Maddog re “Mysterious” New Whale

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 16:34 on July 27, 2018

POSSIBILITIES: “The trader must have access to huge amounts of capital to sustain such a large position. If interest rates were to rise in any volatility-inducing manner (rise quickly – aka futures breaking), this player could be on the hook for HUGE money. We believe if 2-3 year interest rates rose 1.5-2%, this player would have losses in the billions, and capital requirements would skyrocket.”

It sounds like a big bet on deflation if a speculator, or a manipulation plan by TPTB. Just a guess. 🙂

The longer the Rig runs, the worse the mkt distortions will become…such as this .

Well it could be worse.  Bring your chainsaw out here for a visit.  I’ve got a big log in the back yard that needs to be cut up and brought out!  …and we only have little ‘fire ants’ that sting and itch and raise a welt for days.  🙂

It’s a perfect world!

Interesting about the central banks investing in other country’s stock markets. I know the Swiss have a big piece in the NYSE-NASDAQ. Not exactly a firm foundation for your country’s financial well being.

At least the Japanese don’t have to worry about their budget. They’ll just print up whatever they need. It’ll work until it doesn’t!

Stock Market is tanking but of course everything pm is tanking with it, regardless of a slightly weaker dollar.

No clue why I ever bought this shit.

I think it’s not a omen but a reminder to check your goggles before you put them on lol
Looked like a blood moon last night already, moon was orange. Might be from the fires north and south of me. Lots of trees nature north in Redding, Wiskey town area on fire threading neighborhoods and burned out some. Predicted temp in Redding 112 today. Heat wave not stopping. About 103-6 here today.
Good to see you getting out doing some exercise.

Just noticed NEM tried to stupidly break out ystdy….scum can’t have that, so tdy it is being bombed,

So yesterday

Posted by ipso facto @ 11:29 on July 27, 2018

I’m working on the woodpile, shortening up some rounds with the chainsaw. As I’m making a cut I feel something like a bug running around in my ear goggles. I think oh it’s probably some sweat drops rolling around in there and anyway I’m in the middle of a cut. So I finish the cut, pull off my ear goggles and there’s a friggin earwig running around inside them.

I don’t know what it means but I figure it must be some sort of Omen! 🙂

Yamana Gold Delivers Strong Second Quarter Operational and Financial Results, Well Positioned to Exceed Production Guidance

re Second-quarter GDP jumps 4.1% for best pace in nearly four years

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 11:03 on July 27, 2018

I wonder what percentage of “Strong consumer and business spending” was related infrastructure spending of taxpayer dollars? It that even ALLOWED? Gov’t spending of borrowed money as part of GDP? 🙂

Its all hocus pocus to me. Or mumbo jumbo. This country went thru 45 years of net decline. All 45 yearly GDPs should have been negative. And or the GDP “growth” should have been added to China and Europe’s books.

On Sinclair’s website

Sign In Indiana Business Front Window:

This sign was prominently displayed in the window of a business in Whiting, Indiana.

You are probably outraged at the thought of such an inflammatory statement.

However, we are a society which holds Freedom of Speech as perhaps our greatest liberty.

You may ask, what kind of business would dare post such a sign?

Answer: Owen’s Funeral Home
