Similar to Feb/Mar, Wall St is looking like it’s successfully ignored Main St but this too feels like another trapdoor is about to open.  Today I divided a large chunk of cash by 15x and started a leveraged short on Dow here at 26.4K.  I’ll double that initial 1/15 position up to three more times for every 500pts higher the Dow defies gravity.  Martingale Betting strategy has yet to let me down.

Re Electoral College voters can be forced to back state popular vote winners,

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 13:52 on July 6, 2020

Two cases were brought by Electoral College voters in Washington state and Colorado who refused to back Democrat Hillary Clinton in 2016, despite her wins in those states. In both cases, the Democratic electors were mounting last-ditch efforts to prevent President Donald Trump from taking office after it was apparent that he had won enough votes to carry the election.

Comment. It sounds confusing to me. Hilary had the popular vote, but electors didn’t want Trump? And neglected to give Hillary the state?

Makes sense to me

Supreme Court Rules States Can Stop “Faithless” Presidential Electors

In a rare unanimous decision for the US Supreme Court, on Monday the nine Justices ruled unanimously that states can require presidential electors to back their states’ popular vote winner in the Electoral College. The ruling arose out of a case from Washington state, essentially gives states the right to outlaw so-called “faithless electors” who cast their votes for people other than those chosen by their voters.

Read Das Kapital when I was in college. He actually makes a lot of sense. Theoretically it’s a great idea but it doesn’t take into account human nature. Human beings in the main are always going to look out for #1 and this is always going to cause socialism and Communism to fail. JMO

there is an easier case against MMT.

Posted by Richard640 @ 12:11 on July 6, 2020
why WOULD anyone work, ever.
hacks like those espousing MMT assume that effort will continue to be expended by everyone, in the full knowledge that a large bunch of go nowhere do nothing, two bob jack siht, a$$holes will get all their needs met by the printing of “money” the MMT’ers have made worthless.
the result? starvation, disease, mobocracy, sloth, obesity, virtue signalling, projection, distraction and a world of excited misery – exactly what socialism brings, unless of course, ENFORCED AT THE POINT OF A GUN BY AN ELITE – which, of course, is what siht bags like Kelton insist she is a significant influencer of.
she is a typical socialist whiner seeking to condemn the entire human race to a life of excited misery – in her own image.

Big news for Skeena

Skeena to Acquire 100% of Eskay Creek

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / July 6, 2020 / Skeena Resources Limited (TSXV:SKE)(OTCQX:SKREF) (“Skeena” or the “Company”) has signed a binding term sheet with Barrick Gold Corporation’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Barrick Gold Inc. (“Barrick”), defining the terms pursuant to which Skeena will exercise its option to acquire 100% of the Eskay Creek gold-silver project (“Eskay Creek” or the “Project”) located in the Golden Triangle of northwest British Columbia, Canada. In addition, Barrick has agreed to waive its back-in right on Eskay Creek. As a result of this transaction, Barrick will become a significant shareholder in Skeena.

Skeena’s CEO, Walter Coles Jr. commented, “Skeena is honoured to have Barrick as a significant shareholder as we endeavor to revitalize Eskay Creek, the former highest-grade, past-producing gold mine in the world. The recent improvements to infrastructure in the Golden Triangle offer us an opportunity to potentially reopen closed mines and contribute to the economic development of communities in northern Canada. Gaining 100% ownership and operatorship of Eskay Creek is an important milestone in the evolution of our Company. Skeena is well financed with almost C$50 million of cash and we continue to believe there are meaningful opportunities to increase the grade and size of this project with aggressive exploration drilling.”
