So TPTB collapsed the market in 2008 to get their posterboy Barcrack in over McSaine

Have they thrown him and Billary under the bus now in favor of another Bush and the war party because Ogolpher’s incompetence spurned their wishes?

What about being a Manchurian Candidate?

Edit, I may just be a Country Canuck but I do realize these are midterms…leading to final waltz.

I get it. Nothing about the close indicates higher for the pm’s  Too bad. Looks like pm’s re doomed to fall with the SM

A damn shame. Would be nice to see a repeat of the 00-01′ scenario.

Farmboy – One thing for sure.

Everyday Football Fouls

Posted by Farmboy @ 19:29 on July 31, 2014

The one thing I took away from watching some Soccer in Brazil was how often the players fell to the ground and proceeded to practice their acting careers when the slightest bump or touch was administered on the playing field. Here is a spoof of those players in everyday life. Quite amusing.

Good Evening Commish !

Posted by Farmboy @ 19:22 on July 31, 2014

Well, in my country boy kinda thinking, if all things economic were as good as they portray them to be, just seems like the markets would be a bit more resilient that what they are. I agree with Richard640 that the pie crust is stretched paper thin over the whole shootin match. I don’t think its quite time for the blow up ….yet.  Besides, the talking heads on the radio where telling everyone what a great chance to get into the markets with today’s ‘Sale’ prices. When will they ever learn?

And no sir, did not hear anyone speaking of how well Gold has done this year. Wonder why that is?

I enjoyed the video. Thought of all the crazy things I did as a young man. Back then there were no video cameras to capture it all. (grin) At least I was able to endure the pain mostly in solitude and a moment of quiet reflection. It still seems there are plenty of young men willing to ‘show off’ for the girls. At least, that is what usually, but not always, brought on those moments of craziness.

Best to you this evening. Wonder what kind of follow up we will see tomorrow? Farmboy

Farmboy – Bravo for the SM losing it’s yearly gain

Posted by commish @ 19:02 on July 31, 2014

Did they mention that Gold has been a good investment?  Started the year at 1205.60 and when I last check was 1282.30.  Seems like a winner to me.

That video.  Darwin Awards were being passed out all over the place.

it seems to me there are some algoes hunting between 3-4 every day, blowing out shorts or longs and then reversing them quickly after they have bought the panic.   I watched this happening and stood firm onlt to see all the losses recoup by the close. Nervracking but with gdx falling thru an hs top today and that gap below I held.  Worse yet this kind of action ends up with the etfs and index’s withering away from over use. JDST is no where near the recent 12.09 high with gold 25$ lower. Who knew?

Last Friday’s action was enough to make me sell puts that I had just earlier bought. Since then no upside follow thru. So, tomorrow I’ll probably buy more puts. We are in an Int. downtrend at best half way thru.

TORONTO — The RCMP is looking for two men after it says more than 160 Canadians lost $1.5 million in an alleged investment scam.

Investigators say people in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Alberta were enticed to invest money through BHF Waste Management Limited Partnership in Barrie, Ont., between 2006 and 2008.

Police say the investors thought they were buying mining rights from a business in Montana, but were actually paying an inflated price to a shell company registered in St. Kitts and Nevis, and money was being funnelled to two offshore bank accounts in the Bahamas.

The RCMP says several people benefited from the laundered money or were paid wages from investor funds.

Police have arrest warrants out for Douglas Scott, 66, of both Toronto and Cranbook, B.C., and Claude Taillefer, 63, of Shanty Bay, Ont., near Barrie.

The RCMP has charged the pair with fraud over $5,000, fraud by false pretence, conspiracy to commit fraud, money laundering, possession of property obtained by crime and participating in a criminal organization.

Would a relatively strong close change your perception?

I agree that pm performance today is pretty ugly. OTOH, we’re outperforming oil and the SM and showing modest strength in the last hour.

Seems we’re going to need the pm shares to confirm.

Russia And Germany Allegedly Working On Secret “Gas For Land” Deal

While many were amused by this photo of Putin and Merkel during the world cup final showing Europe’s two most important leaders siding side by side, some were more curious by just what the two were scheming:

Thanks to the Independent, we may know the answer, and it is a doozy, because according to some it is nothing shy of a sequel to the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact: allegedly Germany and Russia have been working on a secret plan to broker a peaceful solution to end international tensions over the Ukraine, one which would negotiate to trade Crimea’s sovereignty for guarantees on energy security and trade. The Independent reveals that the peace plan, being worked on by both Angela Merkel and Vladimir Putin, “hinges on two main ambitions: stabilising the borders of Ukraine and providing the financially troubled country with a strong economic boost, particularly a new energy agreement ensuring security of gas supplies.”

CIA Admits to Hacking Senate Computers

CIA Director John Brennan has determined that employees “acted in a manner inconsistent with the common understanding” brokered between the CIA and its Senate overseers, according to agency spokesman Dean Boyd.

Brennan does not admit to any wrong doing, or anything illegal. And then later in the article “apologizes” for his employee’s actions.

Oh Yeah, that makes everything just hunky dory. NOT ! The Orwellian Double Speak (double tongue) is something else to behold.

What a perfect example of my earlier post. I need to hear those three words from the CIA Director. And it needs to go a little further than “I’m sorry”. Lets make that apology tangible for example. Here are the names of those we gathered the information on, and to whom this information was shared, and my resignation letter for violating the trust (if not the legal responsibilities ) of my office. My understanding of making ‘amends’ goes a little beyond saying “I’m sorry”.

Still continuing to be amazed at what those folks in Washington can get away with, Farmboy

Interviewed by KWN, Sperandeo boils everything down to four points

Submitted by cpowell on Thu, 2014-07-31 01:07. Section: Daily Dispatches

Dear Friend of GATA and Gold:

In very few words to King World News tonight market analyst Victor Sperandeo makes the most important points:

1) All government announcements about the economy are lies.

2) The economy is far weaker than the government acknowledges.

3) The gold market is manipulated by central banks.

And 4) investors need gold as insurance against the diasters central banks may cause.

Sperandeo’s interview is excerpted at the KWN blog here:
