Now that’s an interesting concept, Sept 26. Lets throw the financial into chaos right before Elections in the U.S. Can you say double jeopardy or ‘force multiplier’ ? Let me ponder a bit on that one.

I believe Shanghai is opening today – 11 days early, according to an article posted on Sinclair’s site.

Regardless, if the banks were to get a whiff of someone standing for delivery of that magnitude. They’d be trying to cover quietly in advance.

or maybe not, maybe they’d just default and settle in USD’s

How about 26 Sep as last tradeing day, same day as Shanghai opens  !!!!!!!!!!!

China dumps all their Trillion in Treasuries on the market, AND calls in Silver contracts, and announces, “There’s a new Sheriff in town”.

If they did that as well, I would not want to be down wind of Fall st.

out of curiosity, when do they have to stand for delivery? What day? Do you know?

I hope China can break the scums backs. They’ve been encouraging their citizens to buy gold for years now, hopefully they’ll not screw them over like our scumbags would do here.

Re China.

I have thought for a long time that once China has enough Gold, they will blow up the scums games….statements like that from senior officials are not spin, they are signals.

When they opened Beijing for Imports, they deliberately stated it was to disguise how much they import, again a signal, there was no need to say it.

As of now though, they just sit back and can’t believe how stupid the west has  become.

If the Chines are the long in comex silver, imagine the fireworks if they demand delivery for the 170,000 plus Sep contracts, just as Shanghai opens…….Comex has to default and is fucked forever, while Shanghai rules the world !!!!!!

Apple will no longer unlock most iPhones, iPads for police, even with search warrants

Apple said Wednesday night that it is making it impossible for the company to turn over data from most iPhones or iPads to police — even when they have a search warrant — taking a hard new line as tech companies attempt to blunt allegations that they have too readily participated in government efforts to collect user information.

The move, announced with the publication of a new privacy policy tied to the release of Apple’s latest mobile operating system, iOS 8, amounts to an engineering solution to a legal quandary: Rather than comply with binding court orders, Apple has reworked its latest encryption in a way that prevents the company — or anyone but the device’s owner — from gaining access to the vast troves of user data typically stored on smartphones or tablet computers.

Now don’t go fretting about it, and while the competition are some pretty gals, I know you can shoot better than most of em. So go ahead and send in that application and resume for Deputy Sherriff. Let’s see, under the rules of the  Fair Hiring Act,  Anti Discrimination Act , Equal Employment Opportunity Act, The Federal Labor Act, Minority Hiring Act, and about another ten thousand pages of Acts, ( all which are more pages than the Book of Acts in the Bible ), I am sure I can find a few loopholes so you are a shoe in for the job opening. (wink, nudge, smile)

Aint nothing “going on at the pond” except Macroman and me, who were innocent lil old country boys turned green and warty and tossed into some pond, are simply trying to make  lemons into neon lit, high rise lily pad condo, Radio City Dancers, Sin City of the South,  lemonade drinking, gambling, 24 hour a day,  party town. That’s all. And we don’t need you and ole Twitchy nose starting up any ice storms, earthquakes, forest fires, hail and brimstone, nor floods of epic portions to go ruin our quiet little peaceful community. Fact is, you will have to swear under oath not to do so along with the normal ‘Serve and Protect’ stuff if you are going to take the job. Now don’t go fretting about all this, there is one perk you are sure to like that comes with the job of Deputy Sheriff, you are allowed to shoot any bankster on site, no questions asked. Floridagold is setting up a Gator Body Disposal Service at one end of the swamp. Part of our Keep it Green Environmental program don’t ya know. All part of our ‘No harm, No Foul’ , If there aint a body no crime policy.

We are trying to talk Wanka into coming out of retirement to be our Justice of the Peace and have assured him we have no problem with conflict of interest being he runs a Lamp Post R Us ‘Correctional Facility’ on the side.

So you see, we are just running a quiet, peaceful, lil old pond town. Say, what do you think about a pair of Daisy Duke short shorts and tank top for a uniform ?

Best,  Sheriff FarmFrog

Gold Tumbles To 2014 Lows As China Unveils Anti-Rigging Benchmark

Tyler Durden's picture

With a Fed hinting at exit strategies, gold has tumbled to 2014 lows (and almost in the red year-to-date) as traders apparently forget Japan, China, and European central banks continue to (or are set to) print more money into the global reflation trade. It appears that as the West continues to sell ‘paper’ gold, the East remains enamnored as the PBOC announced this morning:

  • *CHINA TO FORM SHANGHAI GOLD BENCHMARK, PBOC GOVERNOR SAYS
  • *PBOC CHIEF ZHOU: GOLD MARKET IMPORTANT PART OF FINANCIAL MARKET
  • *SHANGHAI GOLD MARKET HAS TO AVOID SYSTEMIC RISK: PBOC’S ZHOU

Furthermore, traders have noted physical buying interest continues in the Asian region as premiums rise in China and India.

As Bloomberg reports, PBOC’s Zhou says Chinese gold market is crucial:

Gold market is important component of financial market and can help diversify financial market, People’s Bank of China Governor Zhou Xiaochuan says at ceremony in Shanghai for Shanghai Gold Exchange.

China to form a “Shanghai gold” benchmark: Zhou

But for now the price continues to fall…

*  *  *

Though, as Kitco notes, Asia demand remains strong:

Bernard Sin, global head of precious metals trading with MKS (Switzerland) SA, reported that some physical demand has emerged on the price pullback, particularly in the Asian region.

The premium has gone up in China to between around $4 to $5; in Hong Kong it’s about $1 to $2,” he said. “In Singapore, it’s about $1.70 to $2. In India, it’s about $6 to $7.

As you know the PMs are volatile and realllly goes with that saying You’ve got to know when to hold them, know when to fold them. Did you see Winedocs post? There is no other sector that I know of that people wake up and the first thing they do is check the price go wow gold went up 2 dollars today then the next day curse someone for bringing it back down again. No matter what they say it’s got to be the most manipulated sector there is because they link it to inflation. First they argue it has nothing to do with inflation then they say gold goes down with deflation? Hello????
