My preference is to keep Americans safe from harm, especially our children.  When a medical person or missionary leaves the states to go to Ebola infected places in Africa (or elsewhere) they do so with their eyes wide open, knowing the dangers involved.  It is their choice and they should be held to strict rules forbidding their return to the states if they were exposed to Ebola patients until all danger of illness has passed.  In short, they should remain in quarantine in the country they chose and not be given the chance to infect anyone else.  Their choice, their responsibility.

As far as I’ve read Ebola lasts from hours to a few days on paper, similar to flu virus although MARSA can last longer also aids virus has been known to last longer.

As far as any American getting sick over there I wouldn’t blame them for wanting to come back although should take some precautions as a medical person if they’ve been exposed.

I didn’t hear anything about a nurse taking a cruise but a flight and called the CDC before she went. It was a lab tech that went on a cruise and wasn’t sick but people freak out. There are dozens of thinks that can kill they are exposed to frequently.

The conditions that the workers in Texas were working under put them at risk and not just them. Their wrists wernt protected as well as their necks and the floors weren’t wiped with bleach enough it turns out. Whether they were double gloves I don’t know but should have been and any time touched something that would of contaminated them they should of removed the first gloves swabbed the next with bleach before putting on another while staying in the room. Some of these nurses were allowed to treat other patients after treating Duncan. Not only that but the shoot for lab was exposed by sending samples from Duncan through them. Lots of under site. I was offered a job in management for quality control and one of the reasons I declined.

When immigrants first came here they brought all sorts of nasty things to American Indians. Small pox, Measels, TB, Syphlis, alcohol, sugar, on and on. Now that travel is faster and easier so will diseases travel faster. Yes I think there should be precautions and as bad as the epidemic is over there travel should be restricted  but not go into over kill or not prevent any American sick or not from returning. What would be next ? There’s a lot of things that can kill you over seas.

in Country of Origin  from any contact with Ebola Patients .Why wasen’t this”Doctor” kept in isolation for 21 days prior to flying ? Especially since it was known he had contact with Ebola Patients . Everyone leaving should be isolated 21 days before boarding any vehicle leaving an infeccted country .

All this proves is F_____G  politicians can’t be trusted to do whats right ..The military needs to enforce .Marshall Law for all infected countrys.Nobody leaves the Country without going 21 days of isolation period.
