Loading ...I was conversing with a colleague friday, he works in Palliative care, and sadly, he had a more than a brush with bowel cancer and is back working, with an unclear future.
Man, If that was me, I would be retiring on what ever I had in the bank …….
I was amazed with his optimism and clarity. Whether he still “needs” to work, I don’t know. I’m sure he’s thought about it, …….. and much more …….
Still, He has a lot to offer his patients, and I applaud him for that.
I said, “Mike” we can’t afford health care the way it is can we ?? ……..
We both agreed, for example …… very elderly patients having 3-4 or more rounds of chemo, and on the other side of the coin, waste, waste and more wasted resources.
I mean, a $900 mri scan of a “toe” …… while a plain film gives the same information.
