Loading ...Yes the courts are so over crowded that it would take a long time although people have a right to speedy trial and can object to it being put off and bit give them time to dream something up. There is the problem of being faces with a public defender which is good in some ways it will divert money from their pot. If so they would have to be very pro active with their case and not let the defender slack off. I doubt without enough evidence they wouldn’t have much to go on to go forward anyways and might try to get them to make a plea bargin they should refuse probably using the same scare tactics. It would go better with a private lawyer. Also at the time of the theft they don’t have to explain where they got the money unless their being charged and then at that time should request to speak to a lawyer so they don’t lie about anything they tell them.
