US Mint Sells Out of Silver Eagles

Nov 5 (Reuters) – The U.S. Mint said on Wednesday it has temporarily sold out of its American Eagle silver bullion coins following “tremendous” demand in the past several weeks.

In a statement sent to its biggest U.S. coin wholesalers, the U.S. Mint says it will continue to produce 2014-dated coins. The Mint will advise when additional inventory will become available for sale without providing further details.

The announcement has not been made available to the public, but a U.S. Mint spokesman confirmed that it has sent the statement to its authorized participants.

Reuters is reporting that the Saudi oil explosion occurred during “repairs” and not a terrorist attack. You’d think there would’ve been some repair related deaths but…

As for Putin, he and his country and economy have been pushed into a corner by the US, Wall Street and the Saudi’s and IMO that makes him dangerous. His central bank is no longer going to defend the Ruble, which makes me wonder what exactly Putin has in mind to prevent massive inflation. Something tells me he’ll have a lot more to say pretty soon.

As for gold and up on news – any news – it just doesn’t happen anymore. The algo’s are just set to crush it 24/7. Where it stops is anyone’s guess. I thought Winedoc’s post about rising premiums in silver to be interesting.

That Saudi news in days gone by, before the no limit Algo’s of the Rig started would have had gold up 100 dollars, easy at current prices. Sure it might well have crashed back, but in yet another example of the Rig, there is only volatility down, never up.
