United Van Lines published their latest numbers on in/out moves from states. It appears Illinois is losing producers while the takers are holding firm.

The perfect storm continues.

Stock market is looking toppy again. Will the fed ride to the rescue again?

RNO…my perception is that all cycles are rooted in Sacred Geometry.  Check out these two sites:

www.halexandria.org/home.htm

As I mentioned,  my essays are aimed at astrology buffs…who not only read but discuss what is written, so as the discussion proceeds and clarity is required, it is given.  As I’m not inclined to provide a summary after writing the essay – except in rare circumstances – if you have any questions or want enlightenment, just ask.  What I am saying is that I require a little effort on the part of the reader so that I don’t end up doing all the heavy lifting, lol.

I shall begin posting my monthly Full Moon charts so you may get used to astro-speak.  Usually I am fairly clear about what the particular planet represents and in what area (house) it is operating.  Still, if you need clarification, I’d be glad to explain.

Gas prices

Posted by goldielocks @ 17:16 on January 2, 2015

Heard today tbat here in Calif anyways they snuck in a 10 cents a gallon tax which will be passed on to us. There is no inflation or tax increases just sneaky taxes to producers that drive prices up. Wonder if that’s why other things have gone up. This will probably result in paying more for groceries and other consumer products as they inch everything up again.

Flu Update

Posted by goldielocks @ 17:05 on January 2, 2015

Besides school children and some jobs the easy way to pick up the Flu is walking into malls or grocery stores either by breathing or touching doors and carts or touching things. It has caused a harsher flu in older people.

December 30, 2014

Predictions of a harsher influenza season than usual are coming true, as the rate of influenza-related hospitalizations as of December 20 was more than double that a year ago, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported last week.

Influenza officially qualified as an epidemic on the week ending December 20, week 51 of 2014, because the proportion of deaths attributed to pneumonia and influenza increased to the epidemic threshold of 6.8%, according to the CDC’s weekly FluView update.

Earlier this month, CDC Director Thomas Frieden, MD, MPH, cited two reasons why influenza may hit especially hard in the season that began on October 1. The first is that A(H3N2), the principal virus in circulation, typically is more virulent than others, causing twice as many hospitalizations and deaths. Compounding this bad draw of viruses is a recent genetic mutation or drift in the strain of A(H3N2) virus chosen for the 2014 to 2015 vaccine, which makes the shot less effective.

From October 1 through December 20, influenza accounted for a cumulative 9.7 hospitalizations per 100,000 population, according to FluView. That is more than double the hospitalization rate of 4.3 for the same period in the 2013 to 2014 season, when the 2009 pandemic A(H1NI) virus predominated, and 76% higher than the rate of 5.5 in 2012 to 2013, which was another A(H3N2) season.

The influenza strain this year is tougher than its predecessors in the previous two seasons by another measure: the proportion of outpatient visits for influenza-like illness (ILI). It was 5.5% as of December 20 and above the national baseline of 2% for the fifth consecutive week. In contrast, the ILI rate was only 3% in week 51 of 2013 and 4.2% in 2012.

In terms of influenza-associated hospitalizations and ILI, the A(H3N2) virus of 2014 to 2015 is more severe than its predecessor of 2012 to 2013. That is also true for pneumonia and influenza mortality, but less markedly so. The death rate of 6.8% in week 51 of 2014 was just slightly higher than the 6.5% posted in week 51 of 2012 (as well as the 6.7% for the same week in 2013).

However, the 15 pediatric deaths associated with influenza from October 1 to December 20 in 2014 are running slightly behind the 16 deaths reported for the same period in 2012.

Overall, 36 states experienced widespread influenza activity during the week ending December 20, up from 29 states the week before. Twenty-two states had high levels of ILI, for an increase of nine states.

PS On Story Below

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 16:30 on January 2, 2015

The bozos that wrote that propaganda below, left out the part that the USA as a whole exported far more than it imported, a trade deficit, for DECADES. The USA was a victim of globalization. Global socialism. Global affirmative action.

They left out the “grease job” news we got back in the 70s telling us we are going to be a service economy, and telling us we don’t want the “rust belt” industries, and we don’t like or need all the menial “smoke stack” jobs.

They also told us competition was good, we would get cheaper high quality products, but forgot about the LOSS of tax PAYING jobs replaced with tax ABSORBING jobs.

Its the rest of the worlds turn now for that kind of news.

Manufacturers, Americans, Share your Story

PARTS:
“Many American workers depend on trade for their jobs, and trade helps countless American businesses grow and thrive. Lots of statistics support these facts – for instance, one in six manufacturing jobs depends on trade, and 97 percent of U.S. exporters are small- to medium-sized businesses – but USTR wants to hear directly from the real people behind the trade data: the workers, farmers, ranchers, manufacturers, and service providers who make our economy go and grow.

Tell us how your life is affected by global trade – what it means for your job, your business, or your community. We’ll appreciate your input as we work to craft a trade policy that works for America ’s working families.

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) is an agency of more than 200 committed professionals with decades of specialized experience in trade issues and regions of the world.

We negotiate directly with foreign governments to create trade agreements, to resolve disputes, and to participate in global trade policy organizations. We also meet with governments, with business groups, with legislators and with public interest groups to gather input on trade issues and to discuss the President’s trade policy positions”

Re Gold, Still Higher Than The November Low Two Months Away

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 16:04 on January 2, 2015

Its been a long time since gold stayed above a low for this long. I think its time to buy the dips again. Reality is returning. Oil, gasoline, and diesel fuel SHOULD be cheap like firewood.

Especially Gold should have much more buying power, and other metals like Copper also SHOULD be more expensive. Everything (prices) was distorted for decades, as if there was a World war III war effort still going on. Requiring extensive needs for more and cheaper than normal metals.

SM…….no shame, no shame at all.

re Trans Pacific Partnership

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 15:39 on January 2, 2015

part
“Some of the most heinous parts of the TPP are provisions to set up rigged trade tribunals. In these tribunals, corporations can sue governments for the loss of “expected future profits.”

This means that if a country passes an environmental or a health law that will cost the corporation money, the corporation can sue for the expected profits it stands to lose. The suit will come before a trade tribunal where a three-judge panel, made up mostly of corporate lawyers on temporary leave from their corporate jobs, will decide the case.”

Comment:
I like that. An emotional, impractical environmental extremists elected official, (like Ted Kaczynski) will get his taxpayers sued. Note: These days if your gas cap is loose, your check engine light goes on, and your car won’t pass inspection. $79.99 for diagnostic charge and turn the light off. Then the mechanic tells you, you need to drive 100 or more miles, to reset the codes.

I suspect the TPP agreement if it goes thru is designed to help restore the US economy, and make foreign countries import more from the USA. The exact opposite of NAFTA GATT etc. We paid, now its pay back time.
