bacon? do you know how easy buckboard bacon is to make at home?
nice looking setup. New potatoes, green beans and bacon is probably as close to heaven as I will get. I got out my grow lights and cleaned them off today. In three weeks I will be starting my tomato sets. I won’t put them out unil April 15.

is backtesting the triangle breakout. If it fails to enter the triangle in two or three days, a strong rally should follow. If it does manage to get inside the triangle, the next breakout should have some momentum. I hope it’s up.

From 1971 until 2001 the PTB had some control. Right after 9/11, they were thrown off stride. Whoever they are. And you could see how they “lost it” and have been winging it ever since, with one problem after the next.
How can the US Dollar in only six months, rise faster, go up higher, out pace, everything on the chart below except the VIX which doesn’t count as a thing.
Check out this very abnormal situation. In the past 6 months that idiot dollar out paced all commodities.

Another view. Look at the dollar chart. There is no possible way this is natural market forces. In my view the global managers ran it up JUST to lower all other currencies.
In other words. The US recovery was STOPPED in late June, and STARTED recovery Europe Japan etc, STIMULATION starting late June. The question now is…
How long will they let this abrupt panic adjustment trend continue? They will be undoing all they accomplished for the USA. Maybe “they” don’t care about the US economy anymore because “they” Europe and Japan are in trouble.
The lower dollar since 2008,(higher commodities) was good for the US economy.
The author’s stats:

Comment:
Bla bla bla. He didn’t say a THING about the US Dollar. Everything is priced in DOLLARS. How could this highly qualified person, not mention the rocket ship dollar since ate June?
Think about all the stories out there. There is a glut of oil. The Saudis want to punish USA production. The USA wants to punish Russia because of Ukraine. Bla bla bla. Typical mass media baloney.
The gov’t media personnel are always told or givin, what to say. Connie Chung said that one night on the Johnny Carson show.
the greenhouse is a work in progress. i keep working on it, sealing up cracks, adding wiring and plumbing, etc. it’s made it through two winters and kept most of the contents alive and happy.
here it is last summer with the bananas parked outside – in the winter they’re inside, and it’s a lot more crowded.
“still life with rainwater tank and avocado trees.” there are actually four avocado trees showing here. “mexicola” to the left of the tank, “wurtz dwarf” to the right of the tank. “brazos belle” in right foreground, in front of the ladder, and “joey” is showing a single leaf in bottom left corner. here’s the same shot a few months later. note how much more of the tank is covered.
so far, i’ve had small harvests of avocado, mango, and banana, and more guavas than i could eat. this coming year looks like there will be a larger harvest.
avocado blossom buds (“brazos belle”).
this is a long term project. mostly i’m dealing with trees, and they take longer to develop than garden veggies like tomatoes and lettuce. if you want to do this, don’t delay. my only regret is that i didn’t start years earlier.
with luck, i’ll be eating a pineapple from this plant by august. “variegated sugarloaf” variety. low acid, high sugar content, soft edible core. its softness is the reason most folk will never taste one. it doesn’t ship well. produce managers don’t like it, it gets bruised in transit, so they buy (almost exclusively), “smooth cayenne,” the variety you’re used to. it’s firm, (you might say hard) and doesn’t bruise. ripe? sweet? not so much, but that only counts after it has passed the bar-code scanner, so the produce managers don’t care.
It seems like every day some pundit is on air arguing that falling oil is a net long-term positive for the U.S. economy. The cheaper energy gets, the more consumers have to spend elsewhere, serving as a tax cut for the average American. There is a lot of logic to that, assuming that oil’s price movement is not indicative of a major breakdown in economic and growth expectations.
What’s not to love about cheap oil?The problem with this argument, of course, is that it assumes follow through to end users. If oil gets cheaper but is not fully reflected in the price of goods, the consumer does not benefit, or at least only partially does and less so than one might otherwise think. I believe this is a nuance not fully understood by those making the bull argument. Falling oil may actually be a precursor to higher volatility as investors begin to question speed’s message. I’ve always wanted to have my own. I have a friend that wants to harness the solar energy gain to heat his house.
time to plant potatoes – between now and valentine’s day (timing varies with your local climate). if you haven’t had fresh, small red new potatoes from your own garden, you don’t know what good potatoes are. potatoes have to “cure” so that they will last in storage. this is good if you want to store them. if you want to have them fresh, it’s another question. red potatoes with a thin skin, up to about the size of a golf ball, brought into the kitchen and cooked a few minutes after they’ve been dug from the soil… that’s in a whole ‘nother category from the stuff in the grocers’ bins.
most folk don’t know what they’re missing.
Guess there’s some level of fear you just don’t push. I had to wait till it was over to decide weather to laugh or not. Poor lady was scared to death became her own worst enemy.
I keep my eyes also on other stuff. One is Sandy Hook and now how lawsuits are being filed on this fema national event that caused grief and terror to the average citizen. The 1 trillion dollar lawsuit against the media companies that covered the happenings in Newtown, This is good because you have David Bowie singing the song “Heroes” as the case docket is displayed.
I concur.
Year-long study conducted by University of Cambridge with police in Rialto, California
Found cameras led to an 89 percent drop in complaints against officers
Also showed an almost 50 percent drop in use of force by police
Had led to a clamor from other police forces to begin their own trial
Very bullish divergence today with the HUI and Comex Gold &Silver
-it will be resolved in a big upside move–obvious manipulation today with HUI down 9.70 plus pts
the drop in the HUI is cooling down sentiment and getting the RSI’s in shape for the launch
It just never ends. It just keeps getting worse and worse. More and more different enemies with different names, scattered all around the Middle east.
If TPTB are not getting any positive results after all these decades, they should just give up. But wait. Its never an objective to win a war. Seems like the objective was always to maintain wars. Keep them going. Job creation and profits. Millions of tax payer funded businesses would fold up, with millions of lay-offs.
When’s the last time you walked into a place of business and saw a Russian flag door mat to wipe your feet? You know they love us in the USA. Bitter hatred? Too much vodka? It’d be much more at easier to understand if it we’re Obozo’s face, heck I’d probably buy one for my house then.
you talk to a Russian about the international political situation, sooner or later you will be informed that there is a country in North America that you’ve never heard of. Its name is ‘Pindosia,’ ‘Pindostan’ or, more officially, ‘United States of Pindostan,’ and you will be told that one part of it, called Alaska, used to belong to Russia. Part of the word—‘stan’—stands for underdeveloped state, as in ‘ Pakistan,’ ‘Kazakhstan,’ or ‘Uzbekistan.’ The citizens of this country in plural form are called ‘pindoses,’ in singular—‘pindos.’ Read more
We’re suppose to be running for the hills because the general stock market is crashing. what bull shite.
