Thanks a lot for taking the time to make your post on the Barkerville meeting last night. Thanks to your Dad too!
I have mixed emotions about Barkerville. Fear & excitement!
Fear that they might go under.
Excitement that they might be a BIG deal.
My 2 cents
Since becoming a shareholder, I would call IR on a fairly regular basis. My seat of the pants impression was that it was being run by good “salt of the earth people” – genuine, honest, believed in Barkerville, but perhaps unsophisticated as far as running a major gold mining operation.
One thing that kept my faith was Eric Sprott’s involvement. I could be wrong, but having followed Sprott for years, I have come to trust him. He has been successful, and he surrounds himself with professional, capable people. I particularly like Embry. I respect Rick Rule’s expertise, but like Casey find him irritating personally.
Just recently, I think there has been a shake up. It seems Sprott has installed his people and they are now running the show. I am starting to get excited. If I were smart, that alone should scare some sense into me.
One day I hope to drive up to Barkerville to check it out. Is it pretty country?
