Saw that story on CNBS. Why do I get the sense that we’re going to see another “Gulf of Tonkin” false flag over there?

CNN)—Five Iranian boats fired shots across the bow of a Singapore flagged cargo vessel in the Persian Gulf on Thursday in an attempt to potentially stop the ship, a U.S. official told CNN. For the first time, the incident brought another Persian Gulf nation into the recent rising maritime tensions in the region.

It is not yet clear if any of the rounds hit the Alpine Eternity. There were no U.S. citizens or cargo on board. The Pentagon is still gathering information about the incident.

The incident began when five small fast boats, believed to be manned by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy approached the cargo vessel just off the coast of the United Arab Emirates but in international water, the official said.

These Iranian boats are typically manned with smaller caliber weapons such as machine guns.

The Iranian boats fired across the bow, and at that point the cargo vessel turned and escaped by entering into UAE territorial waters, according to initial U.S. military reports of the incident. The UAE sent three of its coast guard boats out to the cargo vessel.

A U.S. Navy warship was about 20 miles away, but there was no call for help and the Navy did not respond. The Pentagon recently stopped escorting commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz and it’s not clear if those operations will resume. They had been escorting commercial shipping but of two recent Iranian incidents interfering with cargo shipping in the area.

Maybe you could do something interesting with a handful of shipping containers. Maybe a grey water collection system and a composting toilet. Mandatory company meeting today.  The Corp. President (who has never been here before) tells us we are doing a great job, the company has never been better, so….    they sold us!    Worse, they sold us to a company who has a reputation as a poor corporate steward, famous for job cuts and stripping down companies before ‘flipping’ them again.

Pretty much stunned silence from the staff.  Present corporate was pretty good, with great retirement program and benefits.  I’m too damn close to ‘retirement’ and was hoping to put the icing on my retirement cake with this company.  Now I will be ‘vested’ at a much lower level at present as they exit, and I seriously doubt that new owners will be happy with any new retirement or pension funding.   I still have a job for the few months before new ownership.  After that it’s ‘pot luck’ for an old fart in a small, highly specialized technical field.  I may have to move, again.

Maybe I will just retire to a tree house in the jungle back in Hawaii.   If I save up, maybe I can install a toilet!

Both partys are corrupt and sell -out US corporations with one big exception…you never see a trade deal selling out a US BANK ,DO YOU ? Why is that ? if the trade deal is good for other corportions , why not the

I havent traded Futures for 10 years but…..I dont think things have changed on the principals of what happins when the near term sells for higher prices than out months ..That signal means that there is an immediate need for delivery near term and buyers are willing to pay up because they need it NOW !
While future delivery also carrys a time cost for inventory ,delivery in the Future and yet it sells for less than delivery NOW! What does that say for delivery shortage in GOLD & Silver NOW ??
Its getting worse by the DAY especially for any size quantity ….
You futures traders out there ! Am I missing something ? Who is going to bail out the big losers in this trade ?..Its too big for even a Bank to handel ? The Silver Shorts are going for Broke !

head and shoulders patterns might mean for the price per ounce of silver and gold as we move forward in time.  It is difficult for me to develop any strong convictions based on technical analysis in the manipulated physical PM market.   Adding to my problem with TA is Equisetum’s concept of what a head and shoulders should look like.    If this pic is what head and shoulders is supposed to be, then best I stick with so-called fundamental analyses of our PM holdings.  Sometimes it is hard to know whether our holdings are going to go up or down.

It’s comical. Do you know how much dirt would have to come out of the dig sites? To add insult to injury think about the whole west.  It’s rock. Think about ground water, tunneling under rivers too. And all 3000 miles were dug and it was all a secret, no one leaked a  it of information….sheesh what BS. Not a single bit of infrastructure was damaged such as power, water or internet cables…magically it was all missed. And ramps in and out of tunnels. Again an insult to anyone that has a thread of technical knowledge and how to.  I think subject matter like this is completely distracting from the real world issues at hand. Spread the BS on thick

Although some might want to dismiss it as a meaningless opinion  because it is just from one individual, rather than a consensus opinion from a pollster, like you I take seriously the family reasoning behind the decision taken by the gentleman you spoke to in Winnipeg.  Such a decision to leave the United States would not have been taken lightly, and I take it as another indicator of things to come.  Best wishes.  Equiz

A little history about the wooden shoe pictured in the center.  When the prisoners were taken to the Concentration Camps they were stripped down given stripped clothing and  wooden clogs to wear on there feet. No socks.

I went into Winnipeg to do some shopping. While shopping for building supplies, I started making small talk to a younger employee who told me he and his wife had recently emigrated to Canada from the US. I welcomed him here and asked him why he left the US.  He became very emotional and told me that there was no future in the US and that the US dollar was going to collapse. After further conversation, he then told me his father was in the military and told him to get the hell out of the US. Except for a few friends and relatives, most people here don’t have a clue. Even myself, I get caught up in the daily goings on of life and  start to think that the party will keep on forever. Then a chance encounter brings you back to reality!
