End of the World!
The entire premise of “end of the world” and rapid destruction and other discussions related to “fear porn” I am starting to find a little tiresome. There is always a discussion of the end of days without any clear explanation of how it might happen. Structurally. As in A causes B which results in C which ends in FUBAR.
Things are very bad. I get it. Here is my list:
1. The increasing escalation of the Ukrainian conflict with possibility of open war between the United States and Russia.
2. Greece on the verge of bankruptcy with likely transition to the East, resulting in a break-up of NATO.
3. Implosion of the derivatives related to the Greek debt with the contagion spreading to other central banks.
4. BRICS bank, Silk Road, and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank providing the structure to destroy the petrodollar and “western banking” cabal.
5. Quantitative Easing to infinity with grossly inflating assets of the stock market, bond market, and real estate; an inflation that remains persistent despite chronically deteriorating macro and micro-economic fundamentals.
6. The persistent and constant manipulation of all markets to keep the said inflated assets at lofty heights; while aggressively and persistently suppressing the precious metals market.
7. Global deflation despite global QE as evidenced by the sharp crash of commodities (oil, lumber, iron ore, coal, copper, lumber).
8. Junk bond market risk triggered by oil losses in the “fracking revolution”.
9. World wide sovereign debt that is beyond comprehension (20% sold at negative rates?) and never will be paid back; never intended to be paid back in the first place.
10. Welfare state (war on poverty) and warfare state (the war on terrorism), the two main branches of the US federal government, are under constant expansion; both forcing a steady destruction of the “middle class”.
11. Bill of Rights? What is that?
12. Federal Reserve, Statists, and Corporations are in control of the political process and have all the “money”, powers that they do not seem to be willing to lose. Ever.
The list is not complete by any means. But you get my point.
All of these dangers and yet NOTHING ever happens or changes.
I went to Fidelity to deposit a check into my investment account and I asked one of the analysts there what they are advising clients to do in the case of the loss of reserve currency status of the dollar and the coming depression following the impending stock market crash. The guy looked at me as if I was on crack or needed psychiatric hospitalization. I mean he gave me a 10 minute lecture on how the dollar was used “in every trade” around the world and that the market would never fall; it was endless. And I get this reaction with everyone I talk to, no matter the “level of education” or how “well informed” they claim to be.
NOBODY is prepared for this coming “calamity”. It is worse than that. No one is even aware that things are bad.
This has triggered a natural response to my thoughts, am I the one that is crazy?
It is the old saying that if you think you do not have anyone that is crazy in your family; You are probably the crazy one.
In all seriousness, all of these interviews I listen to say that things are very bad and that impending doom is here.
I have been expecting this for a year and a half now. And nothing. I have had my ass handed to me shorting this market and been buried by gold mining stocks that were supposed to already be in a bear market with “little downside”.
I get it. Stack and stack. Be prepared. Okay.
But can someone on this site write a clear or short sketch how all of these things are supposed to end in a crisis? Please don’t just say “black swan” because I listed a flock up above.
I mean simply, like a football play with x and o’s. Can the process even be distilled to something that simple? What actually gets this feces vortex whirling?
