a night-flowering Cereus for many years. When we moved from one home, Mrs. Equiz gave the plant to a restaurant for display in their reception area. Then she easily started a new Cereus from a side shoot that took root very quickly. Several evenings over the years we had neighbors in to see and smell the evening show. The best performance was one evening when we had eleven blossoms opening within an hour of each other. On that evening the floral aroma was almost too much, but a botanical wonder nonetheless.
