NATO Member Busted Supporting ISIS … Now Declares War Against ISIS, But Instead Bombs Its Political Rival (the Main Force …

Turkey Enabling ISIS
NATO member Turkey has been busted supporting ISIS.

The Guardian reported this week:

US special forces raided the compound of an Islamic State leader in eastern Syria in May, they made sure not to tell the neighbours.

The target of that raid, the first of its kind since US jets returned to the skies over Iraq last August, was an Isis official responsible for oil smuggling, named Abu Sayyaf. He was almost unheard of outside the upper echelons of the terror group, but he was well known to Turkey. From mid-2013, the Tunisian fighter had been responsible for smuggling oil from Syria’s eastern fields, which the group had by then commandeered. Black market oil quickly became the main driver of Isis revenues – and Turkish buyers were its main clients.

As a result, the oil trade between the jihadis and the Turks was held up as evidence of an alliance between the two.

***

In the wake of the raid that killed Abu Sayyaf, suspicions of an undeclared alliance have hardened. One senior western official familiar with the intelligence gathered at the slain leader’s compound said that direct dealings between Turkish officials and ranking Isis members was now “undeniable”.

“There are hundreds of flash drives and documents that were seized there,” the official told the Observer. “They are being analysed at the moment, but the links are already so clear that they could end up having profound policy implications for the relationship between us and Ankara.”

***

However, Turkey has openly supported other jihadi groups, such as Ahrar al-Sham, which espouses much of al-Qaida’s ideology, and Jabhat al-Nusra, which is proscribed as a terror organisation by much of the US and Europe. “The distinctions they draw [with other opposition groups] are thin indeed,” said the western official. “There is no doubt at all that they militarily cooperate with both.”

***

One Isis member says the organisation remains a long way from establishing a self-sustaining economy across the area of Syria and Iraq it controls. “They need the Turks. I know of a lot of cooperation and it scares me,” he said. “I don’t see how Turkey can attack the organisation too hard. There are shared interests.”

While the Guardian is one of Britain’s leading newspapers, many in the alternative press have long pointed out Turkey’s support for ISIS.

And experts, Kurds, and Joe Biden have accuses Turkey of enabling ISIS.

shows perfectly the way things really are – when the commercials add longs, the sole purpose is to dump them onto the market and let the funds do the rest to the downside. That’s why when we see a spate of covering by the funds, the banksters aka commercials are able to knock prices right back down – they dump more longs. So while it looks like the spread between commercial shorts and longs are narrowing it will broaden as the funds decide to cover.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Russell Wilson’s new $87 million Seahawks contract is a monster

After drawn-out negotiations all off-season, Russell Wilson has agreed to a four-year, $87.6 million contract extension with the Seattle Seahawks, SI’s Peter King reports.

The deal comes with a $31 million signing bonus (tied for the most in the NFL this season), $60 million guaranteed (the second most in the NFL), and a $21.9 million average salary that ranks second in the NFL behind Aaron Rodgers. It’s a monster contract, and it comes only hours before a self-imposed deadline would have cut off negotiations until next summer.

What makes Wilson’s contract unique is the insane amount of guaranteed money. Wilson’s deal is 68.4% guaranteed, which is far more than many of his peers, according to Over the Cap. Rodgers’ deal, for instance, is only 49% guaranteed, and Cam Newton’s monster new contract is only 39.5% guaranteed.

Wilson essentially passed up the rumored massive $120 million deal for something smaller with a high amount of guaranteed money.

No danger of stress related heart attacks, unless their dealer has cut the Bolivian Marching Powder with too much amphetemine, or the wife has come back early from screwing the tennis coach and heard them arranging another orgy for the dealing desk, and seen what was on their TV screen….which we won’t go into, being a family site.

A’ve a gud ‘un one and all…we live to fight another day.

FWIW: Wouldn’t surprise me if true, especially after all the doctors turning up missing or dead!

Three scientists investigating melting Arctic ice possibly murdered

A Cambridge Professor has made the astonishing claim that three scientists investigating the melting of Arctic ice may have been assassinated within the space of a few months.

Professor Peter Wadhams said he feared being labelled a “looney” over his suspicion that the deaths of the scientists were more than just an ‘extraordinary’ coincidence.

But he insisted the trio could have been murdered and hinted that the oil industry or else sinister government forces might be implicated.

The three scientists he identified – Seymour Laxon and Katherine Giles, both climate change scientists at University College London, and Tim Boyd of the Scottish Association for marine Science – all died within the space of a few months in early 2013.

Three scientists arctic ice killed

Professor Peter Wadhams (top left) believes fellow scientists (top right clockwise) Seymour Laxon, Tim Boyd and Katherine Giles may have been assassinated.

Professor laxon fell down a flight of stairs at a New year’s Eve party at a house in Essex while Dr Giles died when she was in collision with a lorry when cycling to work in London. Dr Boyd is thought to have been struck by lightning while walking in Scotland.

Prof Wadhams said that in the weeks after Prof Laxon’s death he believed he was targeted by a lorry which tried to force him off the road. He reported the incident to the police.

Asked if he thought hitmen might have been behind the deaths, Prof Wadhams, who is Professor of ocean physics at Cambridge University, told The Telegraph: “Yes. I do believe assassins possibly murdered them but I can see that I would be thought of as a looney for believing this.

“But it’s just very odd coincidence that something like that should happen in such a brief period of time.”

He added: “They [the deaths] were accidents as far as anybody was able to tell but the fact they were clustered like that looked so weird.”

Asked who might have wanted them out the way, he replied: “I can only think of the oil lobby but I don’t think the oil lobby goes around killing people.”

He admitted it would have been “stupid” to go to the police with his concerns over the three deaths, not least because he was “suspicious” of the authorities – he cited the example of the death of the government’s weapons expert Dr David Kelly.

Arctic ice scientists

Prof Wadhams added: “I thought if it was somebody assassinating them could it be one of our people doing it and that would be even more frightening. I thought it would be better not to touch this with a barge pole.”

His suspicions drew outrage on Saturday from Prof Laxon’s partner, who was also a close friend of Dr Giles. When told what Prof Wadhams had said, Fiona Strawbridge, head of e-Learning at UCL, replied: “Good god. All of this is completely outrageous and very distressing.”

The couple had been staying in a friends’ converted mill in the Essex countryside when her partner fell down the stairs in the early hours of New Year’s Day. He died the next day from head injuries.

“It was very steep stairs and I heard Seymour fall,” said Ms Strawbridge, “It is just completely bonkers [to suggest murder].

“I am sure there are some climate scientists who do get trolled and pursued but Seymour wasn’t one of them. I would have known if anybody had been pursuing him.

“Sometimes there are tragic coincidences and you have to accept that.”

That ZH poster sums it up well.

As I said before how long can they keep the charade up…only a tame MSM and the Rig keeps the mirage going……Another serious problem they have, is that people who had savings back in 2008 are now running out, tks to ZIRP…their capital is flowing away and they will spend less and less and they were wealthy back then…so they did spend.

That is gonna put a huge crimp on the economy….it can’t be much longer till patience runs out…the US ain’t like Europe, or Japan. The US likes action and Grandma Yellen looks like she couldn’t pull the skin off custard.

Antifaschistische’s picture

let’s see, no wage growth, no job growth….but we have “inflation fears” because we think the people who don’t have jobs and aren’t getting raises are going to go out and start paying more for ‘stuff’. What a load of crap. they-THE FED- have inflation fears because they know the gov will be forced to rely even MORE heavily on the electronic money printing presses…

I’m not convinced that he won’t run as a third party candidate. If so, adios to any Republican and welcome Hilary Clinton.

My guess is that he is too smart for that, because A. he realises that wud/cud happen and B. he wouldn’t want that uber vengefull hag on his case…especially if she was President….

But surely she has too much baggage, combined with an horrific personality to ever win ????. All that baggage has to have Bill’s or Berloscuni’s amount of charm….If she was running a morgue, the corpses would get up and walk out !!!!

I’m not convinced that he won’t run as a third party candidate. If so, adios to any Republican and welcome Hilary Clinton.

I was about to say there is a bit less selling around in GDX…but once we got above 13.70..out came the large offers.

Richard we broke above 1 % and 1100.00 that is hissy fit behavior for the scum….but long term we are right into Rogers schedule of QE failing…so QE to infinity and Hyper inflation.

The only thing keeping this fiasco on the road is the Rig..and for the moment belief in the Fed/CB’s…But you Yanks ain’t that patient, before long the Fed could be on the run from a howling gun, toteing Mob, as the Feds policy is clearly failing big time and lets face it poor old Yellen is hardly a Volker figure.

She looks like she got lost looking for the local OAP meeting, wandered into the wrong room and they gave her the job.

ps

Would a Trump Presidency put up the same Wall.st/Fed Rig and thus a failed Presidency….??????
