Yeah… OK… I missed the morning commuter train.  I’m catching up after hours on a Gold DoodleBug with mixed freight behind.
Who had all the gold bar baggage??

Commish:  LOL!  Wanka?  Trouble?!     ….naahh

For those who may not know, Wanka is the reason we are all gathered here.  It was his vision back in those ‘troublemaker’ days to have an open forum like this.  Over the years he and us ragtag bunch of pirates have made it here.  And still we persist….    God only knows why.

WANKA- So you admit you caused Dr V grief?

Icahn targets struggling miner Freeport-McMoran with 8.5 pct stake

Aug 27 (Reuters) – Activist investor Carl Icahn disclosed an 8.5 percent stake in miner Freeport-McMoran Inc, saying the company was undervalued and needed to address several corporate governance and capital issues.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the billionaire investor said he intends to speak with Freeport’s management and board and may seek board representation.

Icahn also said in the filing that he also plans to discuss “executive compensation practices and capital structure as well as curtailment of the Issuer’s high-cost production operations.”

The disclosure came on the same day that Freeport said it would slash its mining budget by 25 percent and cut 10 percent of its U.S. mine staff, as the miner and energy producer suffers through a slump in copper prices.

Freeport’s shares have plunged nearly 60 percent this year.

The Death of the Penny – US Mint to Cease Penny Production in 2015

Bastards

“How will stores handle transactions without pennies? We are moving toward a cashless society and most transactions are handled electronically with credit cards and ATM cards, or with a check. So eliminating the penny won’t actually affect most people. For people who insist on paying cash, the US Mint recommends that stores round up or down to the nearest nickel. Note: As a side effect, expect state and local sales taxes to increase to round up to the nearest nickel as well to make accounting easier for stores and cashiers.”

Santa Fe Gold Files Voluntary Petition Under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/santa-fe-gold-files-voluntary-171100394.html

Here’s a pretty easy picture to paint in about 400 words!!

Posted by silverngold @ 13:05 on August 27, 2015

Your neighbor, a lifelong friend, rushes into your house with his great news. He was rummaging through his grandma’s old trunk in the attic and discovered a note written in 1919 hidden in the trunk lining. The note said “under the third step of the house you will find a tomato can with much value inside”, so quite excitedly, since he still lived in his Grandma’s old house, he rushed to the third step, pried it up, and sure enough, there was a rusty old tin can, and inside was a roll of cash amounting to $1000. He flashes all those bills at you and and laughs at his good luck. That $1000 will probably buy him at least a months worth of groceries, and maybe even a tank of gas too. What a terrific find!!!!!

Then you remember that YOUR grandma and your neighbors grandma were best of lifelong friends, and YOUR grandma also had an old trunk in the attic. So thinking maybe your own grandma had done the same thing you rush to your attic, throw open the trunk, and sure enough, there is a note in the lining explaining: ” My good friend and neighbor just informed me she was going to hide $1000 in cash for whatever heir finds it. The year is 1919 and I will do the same. However, I will take the $1000 cash and buy 50 one ounce gold coins, and hide them under the NE corner stone of the foundation of this house. I know gold will always have value but I’m not so sure about those dollar bills”.  So you grab a crowbar and shovel, run to the NE corner stone and start to dig……and sure enough, in an old pint mason jar, there are the gold coins.

knowing nothing about the possible value of those 50 gold coins you take them to your local coin dealer and learn that the gold price is currently VERY depressed, and that is certainly discouraging news……But you ask for a quote anyway, and learn that at this very depressed gold price those 50 one ounce gold coins are worth $56,000, but the coin dealer will be happy to take them off your hands.

After thinking it over for a few minutes you decide you had a very smart old  grandma, and you will just hold on to those gold coins. If they are depressed in value now, what might they be worth in the future???????????????

All The Best, and isn’t that why we are all here????………………………….Silverngold

Only good thing coming out of this other than O’s days are short is that he has brought out the weakness, corruption and incompetence of others who he allowed to be quite in your face open about it. So hopefully he has effectively flushed them out for the people to deal with and they can follow him out as well. I hope people don’t forgive forget at voting time. They can forgive but not forget, at least for their sake.

Good quote and will be final straw  in fiat like a roach trap to enslave the majority for the benefit of the few.

Re:  We’ve all been lead into the same credit/debit card game and in many cases cash is no longer accepted…..but digital currencies will be the final death trap to shear the sheeple!! IMO!!! All The Best to All………………….Silverngold
