Loading ...American cars got bad only AFTER imports were introduced, because domestic makers had to cut corners to compete against artificially cheaper subsidized imports. Just like bad cheaper money drives out the good money. Cheaper imported cars drove out the good domestic ones.
Lately Toyota and others are in trouble all the time. Toyota air bags that emit shrapnel. Remember the Toyotas that accelerate by themselves? People that avoided domestic cars, and started buying imported cars years ago, did EXACTLY what the gov’t wanted them to do.
I refused to do what the gov’t wanted me to do and stayed loyal to domestic.
