I have been a television broadcast engineer for a good portion of my life. With the demise of ‘tube sensors’ and implementation of CMOS Solid-state image sensors in TV cameras and now every type of personal non-film digital cameras, I have seen streaks like this often. The clue in these images is that it is associated with a lightning flash, or other very bright spot or reflection.
When a CMOS image sensor is exposed to a ‘hot spot’ it goes into a temporary overload condition. The momentary exposure image is moved off the sensor plate by a digital ‘register shift’ to the edge of the image plate. A ‘hot spot’ of light image will leave a bright streak like this as it is digitally shifted off the edge of the sensor plate. It is an artifact of the image sensor.
Another important clue is that the photographers always deny ‘seeing’ this light beam with their eyes when they take the picture. It is always discovered afterward when they look at the recorded image. It is a sensor artifact… not real.

August 17 – Reuters Breakingviews (Edward Chancellor): “Financial markets, like religions, are faith-based networks. The complex structures of assets and liabilities that comprise markets are held together by a set of underlying beliefs. Unlike religions, however, financial dogmas are occasionally shown to be false. We experienced such a moment last week, when the Chinese authorities chose to devalue their currency.”
Contemporary global finance is a complex “system” of interwoven (electronic) “faith-based networks.” As the bursting of the global Bubble unfolds, myriad “financial dogmas” will be exposed as bogus. Too many have been little more than chicanery.
I really fear for the unwind of the “global government finance Bubble” – the grand finale of a multi-decade period of serial Bubbles. It’s history’s first systemic global Bubble, encompassing the world’s Credit systems, securities markets and monetary systems more generally. Excesses have engulfed the heart of “money” and Credit throughout both the “developing” and “developed” world. Central banks (of all stripes) have printed Trillions of “money” and Trillions more have been created in the process of leveraging securities and other assets. This type of monetary inflation invariably incentivizes destabilizing speculation, fraud, malfeasance and wealth redistribution. It’s fomented a geopolitical tinderbox.
I allow my mind to imagine the type and poor quality of assets on (bloated) Chinese, Brazilian, Russian, Asian and EM bank balance sheets – yet it’s surely a lot worse. I ponder how desperate governments will use their state directed lenders to stimulate and obfuscate – and then I contemplate the scope of future government bailouts. On a global basis, I believe there is today more speculative leverage in global currencies and securities markets than ever – and I fear my bearish imagination might only scratch the surface. There have been too many years of financial manipulation, innovation, experimentation and exploitation – on an unprecedented globalized scale.

It’s been pretty shocking that people are actually walking around talking about how Donald Trump is going to “Save America”. If you ever needed a sign that the country is lost, that’s gotta be it.
But worse is the fact that Trump is so obviously a Clinton plant and people just ignore the facts because right now he’s “telling it like it is”. More like he’s tell you what you want to hear at a time when people are desperate to hear any truth coming out of the American political-industrial complex.
First of all, if anyone ever had half a chance in Hell of changing anything in this country, rest assured The Powers That Shouldn’t Be would not let that person anywhere near the Oval Office. The last time this country had a president that tried to change things, that person got his brains blown out in front of the entire country.
But here’s what actually going on. Hillary Clinton’s private email server woes are not going away, just like the Clinton camp surely had an inkling they wouldn’t. Back in mid-March, The New York Post reported that Valerie Jarrett, Obama’s senior adviser, purposefully leaked details regarding Hillary Clinton’s private email to the press through people outside the White House in order so that the leak couldn’t be directly traced back to the administration.
The scandal bomb, as I reported then, was perfectly timed just before Hillary’s announcement to run as president. Everyone knew by that point that Hillary could announce her run at any time. And she did, just weeks later, officially announce her bid for president on April 12, 2015.
So how does this all connect to Trump?
Knowing the email scandal wouldn’t go away, the Clinton camp needed a big distraction. So what did they do?
They phoned a friend. In late May, Bill Clinton had a private conversation with his good friend, Donald Trump just before Trump decided to run himself.
Now why would a good friend of the Clintons pose himself as opposition like that?
And I do mean good friend. Here are the Clintons at his wedding in 2005:

Trump has also donated to the Clinton Foundation, a point that hasn’t gone unnoticed by people like Senator Rand Paul. Yeah, about that:
“I gave to many people before this,” Trump said at the debate today. “When they call, I give. And you know what, when I need something from them two years later, three years later, I call them. They are there for me.”

The vast majority of silver is produced as a by product of copper and zinc mining. Copper mining will cease if copper goes much lower. I believe the gold silver ratio was distorted by the Chinese demand for copper which has collapsed. When the excess silver available now is gone, the ratio will return.

Yeah I expected it but am out but wanted to short it but as usual events prevented me in doing so. It hit a Po low but is breaking down, it has been in a down turn but lost critical support early July then the death cross came out it was obvious before but people just look at that and say well it’s happened before and rebounded so probably lost money this time so wondering if they’ll try to buy now. It has room to fall to the low 1500s and would be a major support line from the 09 low. If it breaches that then yikes uptrend support gone and now will be resistance, it could cause panic selling so if people tbink this is bad it could get worse. Just saying, and just watching.
You are right and correct. imho….it’s not a surprise. However, there are many fake outs along the way. I have been tracking the DOW for many, many years now and have set indicators that eliminate these fake outs. What I am saying is that this is the real thing, the beginning of a major bear market …the third in the last twenty years. Buckle up.
