COT Report
Not horrible but gold is creeping in the wrong direction although nothing dramatic. The action in the metals make this week make sense though.
Next week will be real interesting, especially for high yield and the SM. The end is nigh IMHO.
Black lives matter want to defund police and give the money to them.
Anything to empower the dead beats hoping to have others and we know who others are support them the rest of their lives. Anyone who works or has any common sense better get out while they still can. What the black lives youth allergic to work? How does this support black lives matter? It doesent lol We live in interesting times.

I have not been around lately because shortly after my “Buffalo Shine” post, something changed at the Oasis server… I suspect some “new & improved” spam repellant. I am unable to make a connection to the goldtentoasis.com server using the TOR network anonymously. Mostly it just times out with no connection. On the rare occasion that it DOES connect, when I try to log in it again times out after I put in my handle & password. So I am effectively frozen out of using the site anonymously. Maybe the Admins can find a cure for this… maybe not. But I will not be regularly posting from a revealing IP address.
Today is an exception, and I will confess I am in Hawaii looking to buy a retirement home… and camping on a neighbor’s WiFi temporarily to make this connection… so the NSA will still find a dead-end to find me. I’m already gone. 🙂

maya – You old haole.
Back to paradise I see.
Howdy Maya
Glad to see you’re OK but that’s a bummer about your job. I think soon there is going to be many more out of work.
We admins don’t have much to do with the server level beyond paying for their service. Richard640 has been having problems with logging in too.
You won’t get much sympathy from me about retiring in Hawaii. You poor guy!
Well, I hope this problem with logging in gets resolved. We miss you around here.
Cheers ipso
PS Great train picture. A great Christmas pic!
Maya
So good to see you posting, friend, we have certainly missed you and those trains. Today’s is a beauty, thank you. Best wishes to you always.

Lots has happened recently. New owners bought my employment place, and announced plans to install MORE automation and cut 15-18 workers. I always figured my job was safe because I am the maintenance guy who installs and maintains the equipment. But the new owners, in their infinite “Business Model” management wisdom, decided to pare the department down to ONE maintenance man. Guess who was second in the seniority line? Me! My job slot was cut, and I was downsized. Helluva present for my 63rd birthday! So I got a few months of severance pay and unemployment benefits for a few months while I try to find some gainful employment.
I decided it was time to cash in some pet rocks and buy a cheap home down by the volcano to retire into. I had hoped to work to age 70 to maximize my social security payments, but now I find myself faced with ‘forced early retirement’ and that prospect sucks! You may yet see me greeting you at the door at Walmart! But I am determined to find a cheap house here to pay off and retire poor with no mortgage payment. And no winter heating bills. Change is the only constant… and just when you think you have your life-plan all mapped out… somebody comes along with a hammer…
Still climbing a mountain, in the cold winter and twilight of my life…

Erdogan gets more stupid
Out of question’: Erdogan rules out Turkish troop withdrawal from Iraq
The withdrawal of Turkish troops from Iraq is out of question, Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, promising to “cooperate” on the issue with the US-led anti-ISIS coalition. Baghdad has condemned the “invasion” as a breach of international law.
“Our servicemen went to Iraq as instructors, their mission is limited to training,” Erdogan claimed during a news conference in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
“It is out of the question, at present, that Turkey will pull out its military from Iraq,” he stressed.
The Turkish leader made no mention of possible talks with Iraqi authorities to resolve the controversy. Commenting on the United Nations Security Council’s failure to produce any statement on the incident as per Russia’s request, Erdogan said that Turkey “will follow the process” but “has chosen to cooperate with the international coalition.”

Silver sure lagging today, I don’t know what happened to the linkage with gold.
Probably a great buy. I better go pick up some cans or sell some blood in order to buy some.
Wow the Dow is getting hammered again.
Ipso
I think so. Not much up in the markets today.
Just gotta get silver to cooperate.
We’ll see. Big battle between shorts and longs in the paper markets today.

NGOs call for investigation into alleged corruption at Kinross Gold’s West African mines
TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – Two nongovernmental organisations (NGOs) have filed a report with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) calling for an investigation into mining company Kinross Gold Corporation for alleged breaches of Canada’s anticorruption laws at the company’s Tasiast mine, in Mauritania, and its Chirano mine, in Ghana. Activist MiningWatch Canada and French anticorruption association Sherpa claimed on Thursday that they were in possession of extensive and detailed documents and information received from whistleblowers and other sources, which included subpoenas served on Kinross as part of an ongoing US Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) investigation, internal Kinross documents, and whistleblower letters, setting out highly detailed allegations of bribery, corruption and other financial crimes in Mauritania and Ghana.
