gardening is a skill passed down on a generational scale. i learned it from my grandmother, among others. most urbanized americans have no clue about how to feed themselves from the land. i doubt if one in ten here knows what NPK is or why it is so important. anyone who is interested in eating after they run out of mre’s would do well to read GROW IT by richard w langer. it’s an out of print book but still pretty easy to find through amazon or other on-line used book sources.
gardening and farming are complex skills. with a little study and practice, you may learn enough to survive. with a lot of study and practice, you might even get good at it.
