re Merkel in Big Trouble?

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 11:27 on January 28, 2016

I swear, all the people in high places, including big company CEOs are grown up well groomed, affirmative action babies. Not necessarily qualified. I’ll bet Obama is one. Many stars and celebrities too are affirmative action babies.

That’s why everything got so screwed up. Its been 50 years of investment and promotion of under dogs, anti Darwinian survival and promotion of the unfittest. Even some under dog countries and businesses, are artificially supported. Its a joke out there.

Copy that thanks. I’m pretty much settled investment wise. Just on the sidelines for years now. The last time was around the bottom during the summer 2008 meltdown below $800. I bought was thru Tulving, half ounce gold eagles, my favorite. Before that it was junk silver in the 1970s.

Later on near the “end” of Tulving, a friend of mine from NJ and few of his contacts had ordered several 500 ounce Silver Eagles monster boxes. Boy did they sweat it out, waiting for delivery. After many fruitless phone calls, and a few months, they were very lucky and got what they ordered.

Merkel in Big Trouble

She’s from EAST GERMANY and her

Marxist up bringing is showing itself ..coupled with her adopted “guilt” complex and negative apologist  demeanor

It wouldn’t surprise me if she were run out of Germany   and was sent fleeing  to Argentina ..!

they push the numismatic blabber….. texmet is by far the most solid with realistic premiums.
let me suggest gold eagles since they are free of 1099 reporting.

It makes sense if they pay to advertise on TV. Many years ago I responded to a big Gold company TV commercial 1-800 number. Can’t remember the name, but offering tenth ounce gold eagles with extremely low premium.

So I call and find out only ONE coin available at that price. Then the salesman starts his canned speech trying to sell me collector coins with huge mark ups.

A reader recently sent me these charts. I do not know who put this collection together to give credit to but I do want to say these charts pretty much tell the WHOLE STORY! Please note each graph has grey shaded areas which identify recessions. What we need to focus on is what has happened since the last “official” recession of 2008/2009. I put the word official in quotation marks because it is clear something has gone very wrong since 2009, have we really recovered?

clip_image001_thumb

Taking these charts and grouping by commonality we have; student loans/federal debt/money supply, food stamps/labor force participation/worker’s share of economy/median income/home ownership, I would put healthcare costs on their own.

Starting with the first grouping “debt and money supply” we can see an explosion in each chart since 2008. This clearly depicts the efforts made at reflating the system. Massive amounts of debt have been taken on and accompanied by a gross quadrupling or more of the money supply. Funny how the money supply has exploded yet the dollar has strengthened versus foreign currencies since then. I will finish with the chart which I believe is the reason for this anomaly.

The second group, let’s call this income/cost of living also shows unprecedented deterioration. Less people working …for lower wages and thus unable to afford a home …or even the ability to feed themselves! How is this “better”? Clearly, the standard of living is far more stressed today than when we entered the 2007/08 beginning of the Great Financial Crisis.

Lastly we have healthcare costs as a cherry on top of this “poo pie”. If more debt and fixed costs along with less employment and income available to service the newfound debt were not enough, healthcare costs of 10% or more of income should be enough to put a dagger in the heart of the American dream.

These charts are very easy to decipher and understand, even a 4th grader who must budget a weekly allowance can understand it! However, apparently Wall Street cannot understand this. I would say the same about Washington and those who “pull their strings” but I don’t believe it to be the case. I have said for years now, policy implemented could not have been by mistake and thus must be planned because no one could be so STUPID to have done the things our “leaders” have!

As for Wall Street, I actually think CNBC has guests on who actually believe the pabulum they spew. In fact just today I heard a guest say he was super bullish because now we have QE behind us, we can get back to normalization and sound footings … Really? Would we have even “arrived” here today with markets still opened were it not for the $ trillions pumped in by the various QE’s?

Thank you for the comeback and info my friend. I remember way back when you discovered and recommended Texmet. I then saved the link in my favorites. I recently went to the Monex site and was surprised to see small commission per coin.

I remember Tulving used to always boast of their small commissions because they don’t advertise on TV, leading me to think “what’s the catch” at Monex? Bait and switch? Long delayed delivery? Etc. A friend of mine is getting ready to buy and was asking me about Monex and who can be trusted. I’ll relay to him Texmet.

Durable Goods Devastation: Capital Goods Orders Crash To Fresh Crisis Lows, Scream Recession

Durable Goods Orders crashed 5.1% MoM and turned back negative YoY and ex-transports continues to deteriorate YoY flashing if nothing else a recessionary environment is upon us (if not an actual recession). However, it is in the core – non-defense ex-aircraaft – segemnt that we see the real bloodbath as shipments plunged and new orders collapsed 7.5% YoY – the “worst since Lehman.” Of course we still have bartenders and waitresses to maintain the US economy so this is just transitory weakness in the stock market’s most-dependent segment of the economy.

That’s interesting but no it doesn’t answer the question. Not about taxation. Question is do they have to report any or all who perchase metals to the government? Ps heard the rumor years ago then Armstrong mentioned think it was in 1980 when he was dealing in  metals the gov came in demanded the names of all those clients who bought PMs.

with some of the officers at texmet. in order to buy or sell one need have an ‘account’ at texas metals. transparent and above board. I also have an account at A-Mark for the company even though its ‘retired’. once and a while we do a transaction if it is large enough. last month was a half mil of gold eagles 2016 for a client. premium per was total 45 and a good deal. 2016 are out now with premiums ranging from 55 to 75. for privacy I would use a coin shop since all the online dealers require an account to the best of my knowledge. hope this answers your question dear lady. gold eagles best of cheer wj

i ran into an old friend this evening.  he’s a merchant seaman, and has been working on the boats that service the offshore oil industry in the gulf off the louisiana coast (morgan city and thereabouts).  he’s “on the beach,” and tells me that layoffs are widespread in his business and the associated oil industry.

hi my li friend….fyi tulving went bankrupt back in 2013/14 and is also under criminal investigation. when I retired our dealer company here in 2008 we went with tulving which was good for the times. I think they messed up their hedge book in the declining market from 2011 at least that’s my impression and tanked. in 2013/14 after a bit of research I suggested to the group of 19 [family and friends] we go with texas metals for our g&s needs. they have been without doubt a 5 star operation. 3 day delivery after payment posts like clockwork. limit orders bid or offer can be placed also which is a feature not common to dealers. I love it. texmetals are the perfect dealer imho… best of cheer toon1lwj

Good question. I ordered some car parts last drop and always get them with different but few select places but took longer for delivery, I don’t buy in mass though the bigger orders ” once” or trade like 2011 traded silver for gold a week early but knew I’d probably be working if I didn’t do it early as they always do that to me were in person. Who knows in the future in person may be the best way if you can find someone you can trust and can trust you to show up when they get it in.

Question re No More Tulving

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 21:35 on January 27, 2016

Is Texas Metals still a good dealer? How about that Monex company tats always on TV? Just today a friend of mine asked who we can trust these days.
