I think I have this green shoots for ipso and BG figgered out courtesy of Equisetum’s biology lessons of past.

The reason why the green shoots of  Lakeshore equisetum have gold in their roots is because of all the boating accidents.

I’ll leave it up to our island compadre to post a pic.

P.S.  Equise, I want a footnote on your Piled  Higher and Deeper thesis…
