life is never simple.  there are always a large number of factors involved.

slow, stupid, lazy, self indulgent, unlucky, weak, will make you a loser.

quick, smart, hard working, thrifty, lucky, strong, will make you a winner.

everyone has varying balances of these traits (and without a doubt, others), and the combinations are what make for the infinitely differing results.  some of these we have a choice about, some, not so much.

you mentioned that you liked to live in a country where you are able to own things.  i do too.  even more, i like living in a country where there is the ability to move from loser to winner (social mobility).  the bad news is that it works the other way too.

i grew up in middle class conditions, perhaps in the lower quartile of middle class, but the families of the people i associated with weren’t hurting.  some of them did pretty well.  through the combination of above traits with which i was endowed,  at age 71, i may have reached the top quartile of the middle class.  it has been my observation that good sense, hard work, strength, and yes, luck played a large part in the journey from where i started to here.

it has also, sadly, been my observation that lack of those traits have consequences.  a high school friend and fishing buddy of mine came from a family that had a string of three hardware stores – good prospects, moderate wealth, security.  (he always had primo fishing tackle!)  he did well until, at about 45 he inherited the family business.  with the help of good bourbon, high purity cocaine, and a spendthrift wife, it only took him fifteen years to demolish the business that had taken three generations to build.

those who have unearned wealth will either learn to maintain it (earning the right to keep it), or it will disappear.   i think you are not patient enough to wait for the inherent, random “fairness” of the world to manifest.  sometimes it takes generations.  sometimes centuries…
