They’re finding they are deducting the amount they ” claim” they are subsidizing them for although with the deductibles it’s no different than private catastrophic and taxing them on it at the end of the year. So instead of getting a return or no bill for many they are finding they owe a few thousand depending. When I talked to my tax person today she was quite drained because so many came in expecting a return to find they owed money and were quite upset.
