Gold Down $22 All My Miners Are Up

Below, a note to my futures trader friend who is bullish on Oil and negative on Gold.
Chick,

Gold down $22 and all my miners are up.

That suggests gold is a lot stronger than it looks. Share buyers must assume gold is going higher, and are saying efff you to the volatile Gold futures price.
