Loading ...………Take a look at this monthly $Gold MACD and RSI and compare them with your short term charts like hourly, daily, and weekly. MACD has not been this low since 1983, and it took them 4 years to get it beat down. How many years do you think it will take for it to top out again?? I’m thinking it’ll take about 2 1/2 years, and that will only be a pause that will reset this MACD again for another major move up.
I bought my current portfolio, mainly of PM junior producers, in May 2013, made no trades since that time, and as of today I am in the black by 3+%. This has been the best 3 years I can remember in a long time. No stress, no trading fees, just keeping up with current events, enjoying my family, enjoying my farm, and not even having to be concerned with my income tax since there was no profit or loss to report.
My one setback was having a hip replacement 4 months age…..and I wouldn’t consider that a “piece of cake” or a “walk in the park” like some said, but as of now I am fully recovered and going full steam ahead, returned to all my old duties and responsibilities, and feel about 20 years younger.
The point I’m trying to make is that you may find life much more enjoyable just doing what I did. Buy a good quality portfolio and let it ride. That’s my understanding of what Jesse Livermore said….”be right and sit tight”. Obviously I was waaaaay too early but I am confident I was right, and I enjoyed sitting tight, and I’ll continue to sit tight until that MACD looks like a mirror image of where it is today. IMO those short term charts are nothing but noise to distract, demoralize, and confuse you while the brokers pick your pockets. Anyway, something to consider!!
