Its a no brainer. Keep all your copper pennies. They started the zinc penny in late 1982, so most ’82s are Copper. Naturally anything before ’82 is 95% pure copper. A semi precious metal. Only Gold and Copper have color.
It takes only 140 copper cents to glean a pound. $1.40/lb. COMEX price is $2.29/lb, but real retail copper is far far higher. One ounce Copper rounds are $1.00 each, that’s $16/lb.
COMEX COPPER?? $2.29?? I don’t know what the hell form or quality it really is.
