I agree amigo, there wasn’t as much selling as you would have thought … of course we are taking their numbers for fact …
Since the year started things have certainly turned around. It sure looks like our suffering is about to be rewarded in spades.
Kind of fun to see how fast the miners can run on the upside … lots of psychic healing power therein! 🙂
Have a great weekend BG and everyone!

That COT Report for gold seemed really odd to me, you’d sure think there would have been a lot more activity. We know the banksters will never cover and the CFTC will probably hide it if they did, but it was a weird report.
Happy Days do appear to be here again my long suffering friend. Been a lot of years since we’ve been able to say that. I lost it for awhile there…

Silverngold – thanks for the Ken O’Keefe, I love that guy, he is so spot on.
Maddog – stunning that the scum loaded the silver shorts yet again. The CNBS “Fast Money” guys are gushing about gold’s performance. You’re right, some folks are going to try to figure out how to get on the train. Unless the scum can get a waterfall going in the metals, these pullbacks are going to be short and sweet.
I’m waiting for the Comex closure.

A real Hawaiian treat! They grow like weeds in some forest areas here. The home I bought has a large backyard full of mature fruit trees, separated by interesting ropey lava domes. I have an Achiote (annatto) tree, mountain apple, Lychee, Mango, several Papayas, a couple guavas (one might be the rare white guava), and one citrus that we think might be Lemon… will tell when it fruits, and heaven only knows what else buried under the weeds in the back quarter that has not been completely cleared as yet. The area gets 150 inches of rain a year, and battling the jungle is a constant effort. The property was left wild for several years, and in the past few weeks I have learned the true meaning of “biomass”… emphasis on the MASS… as I and friends meticulously hand clear the place. About 12 pickup truck loads to the green-waste dump, so far. We’re maybe half done.

encouraging chart of the U.S. dollar index, posted at 13:47. For me and for our family PM-related portfolio, July 2014 was the relevant and momentous inflection point, rather than 3 December 2015. Your posted chart shows the abrupt change in summer 2014. I remember it well. Your lifted my spirits today by posting that chart and its accompanying comment at 13:47 Now I hope you can find yourself a pleasant weekend in the southern pine region in your corner of the continent. Cheers. Equiz.

“Bottom line: Central bank monetary policy divergences are not as favorable for the dollar as they once were. If the dollar index cracks its 13-month range bottom that could provide fuel for a strong new up leg in the gold market.”

as if there were not enough good news in the markets, the ruby supreme guava is blossoming. this is the first year it has done so before may.
most of you have no idea how good fresh guavas are. some of you know about guava jelly and jam.
freshness counts! consider how different the experience of tasting apple butter is from biting into a nice cool, crisp gala apple.
oh, and by the way, how about today in the gold, silver, and miner market?
peace, love, and guavas!

Agreed re Comex…I think they will try and paper settle for a while, as they are allowed to..but that will trigger investigations into what the ETF’s have, as they move large tonnages and the mkts hardly budge, while Sprott waits weeks, so that has to be paper.
Plus u can just see the Banksters laughing like drains, as they create those ETF’s, knowing they will fill them with paper.

Treefrog – yes I seem to remember that carpenter – such wisdom. I’ve never been able to reconcile his words of love with the words of war, murder and rath of the Old Testament.
Maddog – which probably brings us to the same conclusion. One day we wake up and the Comex is closed to pm trading altogether, all bets left uncovered and unpaid. I don’t see any other way it ends.

“I think what will drive the mkts nuts, is finding no real metal in the ETF’s, only paper contracts and then that Fort Knox is empty, along with most other Western CB vaults…all leased out and therefore lost.”
LOL! Yep that’s a good bet!

see my answer to Ipso-facto…….I don’t think they will ever have to cover, as they never have till now, or prices would be way up .

you are almost certainly right. this is, i think cause for concern. what happens when you corner a rat? they fight. they fight dirty.

Re Shorts
If yr short u have no excuse left, as upside levels are going…1283 Au etc. So u have to have faith that the Scum will get it back down…some how…but that ain’t a trade any more that is a hope trade now..so yes some shorts must be scared witless.
As to the real Scum they’ll just put all the shorts in a deep drawer and keep on selling. As I said to a mate today, when u think of all the times they have sat on prices all day and night, at certain levels, stopping the mkt from rallying thru over the years, plus all the water fall shorts they put on, they must be short millions of contracts by now….they can never cover them without taking prices to the moon.

You would sure think the scum with their massive shorts would be nervous although as Ipso said we have no idea whether they even have to worry about covering with mountains of freshly printed currency behind them. That being said the action is stunning, the shares stay steady when the SM goes down and go up when the markets go up. Such different action from the last five years.
Bloomberg is part of the club, a guy that was given his wealth in exchange for being a front for the globalist agenda through his media and anti-gun stance etc.
I personally don’t care how much money they gave me, I wouldn’t be him and advance an agenda so thoroughly evil no matter what. He is a man devoid of a soul.
