I regularly log in from the anonymous TOR network, and I always get the ‘captcha’ security screen. Unlike the prior server service on Hostmantis, THIS one WORKS! I do the simple addition to prove I am not a robot, and I go right thru to the oasis site with no problems. This captcha screen is not a problem for me… and I use it daily.

The new security that may sometimes ask for you to enter a captcha, or solve a simple arithmetic equation, was put in place after we switched servers for added protection. Let me know if it becomes too cumbersome, and I’ll look for a replacement. I would advise against downgrading any of our security measures, however, as WordPress sites get hacked all the time, and we don’t want any more outages.
I’m not sure about Ororeef and anyone else not able to continue through the security protocols. I’ll need more information before I can diagnose it:
1. What browser and version are you using?
2. What O/S & version?
3. ISP (i.e. Comcast, AT&T)
4. Are you using any anonymizing services that mask your public IP address?
5. Which country are you posting from?
6. Exactly what functionality were you using when the problem occurred (new post, edit post, etc.)?
7. Exactly what errors do you receive, or what is the exact behavior that stops the post from being accepted.
This will help me figure out what’s going on with any specific users’ issues and hopefully help refine the site’s security settings so that it works for everyone.

Court: No right to carry concealed weapons in public
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Dealing a blow to gun supporters, a federal appeals court ruled Thursday that Americans do not have a constitutional right to carry concealed weapons in public.
In a dispute that could ultimately wind up before the Supreme Court, a divided 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said local law enforcement officials can place significant restrictions on who is allowed to carry concealed guns.
By a vote of 7-4, the court upheld a California law that says applicants must supply a “good cause” to obtain a concealed-carry permit. People who are being stalked or threatened, celebrities who fear for their safety, and those who routinely carry large amounts of cash or other valuables are often given permits.
The ruling overturned a decision by a three-judge panel of the same court that said applicants need only express a desire for personal safety.

Sometimes when I go to post something I get some sorta message wanting to make sure I am not a Robot…something like that. Not a biggie really since it asks me to prove I aint a robot and gives me a mathematical quiz to answer. Like, what is 9 + 3 ? Thankfully, I have my handy dandy robot calculator and came up with the correct answer of 12. Phew, that was a close one !
I didnt even know that robots cannot add or subtract. Go figure ?

I agree but many won’t beable to afford a attorney and Im sure they will target them if unethical. Since there are no official charges they won’t even get a public defender which probably goes in their pot too so a conflict of interest. Less a good lawyer they pick carrear juniors that goes along with what the judge says plus. Plus is for instance you were Trump calling someone a Mexican whos bias against him they will call all the Mexicans they can for the jury. A lawyer not keen to this tactic loses before they start.
This will just kill off businesses in there state following California and cause more hostility.
