WASHINGTON — A Supreme Court stalemate on Thursday blocked President Barack Obama’s plan to defer deportation and provide work authorization to millions of illegal immigrants, but the 4-4 tie created no precedent and kicked the issue back into the political fray.
The one-sentence decision was an anticlimactic end to Obama’s ambitious plan to push his executive authority over immigration to the outer limit, a move blocked by a federal court in Brownsville, Texas, after Texas led 26 Republican-leaning states in a lawsuit against the policy.
The outcome doesn’t require the administration to begin deportations of the affected immigrants — all of whom had significant ties to the U.S., starting with children who are U.S. citizens or lawful residents. But it does halt the government’s plan to normalize their presence, at least temporarily, by granting them authorization to work.

Re The Queen.
Legally she does/would have to bow to the President of the EU, as she would be/is only one of his subjects, whereas when she meets say Obummer, they meet as equals, as Heads of State.
Apart from that she is very pro the Commonwealth and when we leave that will come into play far more. She is also nobody’s fool and can see just what a useless bunch the EU is.
However for her to come out twice, effectively saying vote Brexit, shows how concerned she is we make the right choice.

I like the fact that Trump says what he thinks rather than what he thinks others want to hear. He’s his own man, not some blood sucking politician. Emphasis on rebuilding America rather than destroying the world through war. Make America great again through the hard work of rebuilding her infrastructure which would create JOBS, and jobs is what has been intentionally taken away from America.
As I’ve always said…… a days work for a days pay……there ain’t no free lunch…..so earn it America….. and in doing so America will regain her self respect and the respect of the rest of the world…..but the only way that can happen is to clean the bought and paid for criminals out of Congress and the White House by removing bribery from the equation…..!! Scary Thing This Freedom
Half and half is what the headlines are telling us. Half for, half against. Britain at the Freedom Crossing. (Maya should have a picture of that.) And if the media here is to be believed, America finds itself in a similar situation. We sit staring at the crossing signs and the flashing warning lights. Do the people chose Freedom, or do we stay with the Nanny State/Big Brother ? Freedom is scary! And not for the faint of heart. We can fail, or maybe we might succeed? America certainly has a history of success for 200 years, overcoming our fears of the future and recovering from our mistakes. Choosing Freedom should be an easy choice for us. Perhaps a harder decision for our British cousins.
The elites, those holding the scepter of power and expecting our obedience, are scared that we might ask for a little more freedom. If the Brits vote to leave, some say that the banks will collapse, folks will loose jobs, and all babies will be born with two heads ! Ok, I made that last one up. But its a similar message we hear if Trump wins; the banks will collapse, people will loose jobs, and babies will be born instead of murdered in their mother’s womb.
Like a lot of folks, I am sitting back watching all this. Watching the Powers That Be declare the End of the World, if we dont obey, vote, as they wish and continue to digest their lies. To tell you the truth, I am leaving room enough to say they just might be right in their dooms day predictions. For sure their world will end with the loss of power. The world us regular folks live in, might see some hard times. When the slaves were set free, it was probably hard times having left the master’s house. They had to start over, find work, a way to eat. But they did it, those fiercely strong souls rose up and did it. And I have not heard a one of them say it (freedom) was not worth it, or that they would like to go back.
Course, nowadays I reckon most of us are really slaves to the system and Big Brother. And slaves to the banks. Few of us are truly free. Even fewer of us seem to be capable of even thinking, or being able to make up our minds. So used to our values, thoughts, & morals, what is right and wrong , what is fashionable having been decided and told to us.
I wish good tidings to the Brits as they cast their votes today. Perhaps they can set the course for America, show us how to set ourselves free. I am going with Trump, because best as I can tell, he is a free man. Even free enough to say things most of us would never utter in public. (We have learned our political correctness lessons well). Yep, I am voting for a free man, with the hope that he can lead us, help us, to be free once again. Kinda scary huh?

The United Kingdom’s referendum on whether to stay in or leave the European Union has been big driver of currency and stock market volatility, but gold is also feeling the effects of uncertainty over the Brexit vote. And even as gold slides from its recent highs, two experts argue that it could rally no matter which way Thursday’s vote comes down.
“I think that gold works whether we get that Brexit and chaos ensues [in which case] gold goes higher — or if peace prevails on the ‘Bremain,’ the dollar eases, providing a bid into gold, commodities and high yield,” Rich Ross, head of technical analysis at Evercore ISI, said Wednesday on CNBC”s “Power Lunch.”
“Whether Britain ‘Brexits’ or ‘Bremains,’ gold should ‘brenefit,'” Ross quipped.
To understand his point, one must grasp two of the primary forces that impact gold prices: the US dollar, and uncertainty. As the dollar slips, gold tends to rise, so a post-vote rise in the British pound and euro should tend to hurt gold prices. On the other hand, rises in uncertainty and declines in stock prices tend to be greeted by gold gains, which is why a vote against the status quo could send gold soaring.
