I’m glad you found it although don’t know how you got all you and your wife’s  things all the way to Hawaii. Must be a expemse. It cost like 150 to send two boxes of China to a neice in Wisc of her great grandmas and out of Kalifirnia. It couldn’t of come back to you at a better time.

Eeos,

Rambus although I don’t follow his charts what I’ve seen is a good chartist. If things turn from a pattern he says something about it and doesn’t try to play ego and hold on to something he said the month before. He goes by his charts and the perception of it. For every bull chart theres a bear chart and vice versa

Charting is a good indicator but subject to change based on things we don’t know or unforeseen like a earthquake tornado or war or banks on and on.  People who follow ” honest ” chartist have to do their own watching based on these changes that come along and or pay attention to the support resistance levels. If you investing based on charting people have to take a active roll and not just put it there and forgetaboutit until someone tells them what to do when changes become apparent.

Bitcoin

Posted by Maya @ 20:34 on July 20, 2016

Bitcoin has become the gift that keeps on giving for me.  I got in way early… sub $10… and when it first soared to a $grand I leveraged out eight ounces of gold… basically for free.  I had about 11 BTC in ‘leftover change’.

I thought I had lost it when the disastrous  apple upgrade to OS 10.10 crashed everything and required a wipe of my hard drive a year or two back.  I thought I had a BTC wallet backup on a thumb drive, but couldn’t find it.

Well, packing for moving is when you find everything!  I just found the BTC wallet thumb drive.  With BTC now at $667 I just ‘found’ about $6 grand!  🙂

And it’s still trending up, as the Chinese are getting into it in ever bigger ways.  Clif says it will explode upward along with silver very shortly.

So I just got another backup drive and will have to install and run Bitcoin core and wallet, and endure the downloading and processing of about 80GB of blockchain transactions to get this all restarted.  It may take several days of computer time, running in background.

Heh heh… I can finance an antenna tower and some solar PV panels for the ranch.  Thank you, bitcoin!

Unfortunately, what’s-her-name seems to have absconded with the anti-gravity core.  It was last known to be in her tote bag.  A clue would be how well she got around on that flying broom…!

I hear ya about the heat.  Klondike bars are great… but fattening.  In Hawaii it is “Shave Ice”… aka ‘snowcones’ with your favorite flavor syrups in rainbow fruit flavors.   Ain’t no freeze like a Brain Freeze!

some folks have been talking bad about you, but I’ve been sticking up for you good name. ( is lying still on that short list of things I aint suppose to do…? Seems Hillary gets away with it enough….)

Anyways, was wondering what you think of this GOP convention so far? I see ole Newt is going to speak tonight. Kinda hoping a Georgia boy can shake up that crowd a bit more for Trump.

Ps) If Wanka aint feeding you enough, I can make you a ‘mater samich’. Thats two pieces of white bread, with half inch slice of tomato, salt, pepper, and Duke’s Mayo. Finest eating you’ll find in the South over summer.

Taped somewhere on the wall over my desk is a sign, ” The markets can remain irrational longer than I can remain solvent.”

It seems I often test that old market saying to see if it is still true.

Thanks for the targets. Really have no idea how T/A targets other than up could possibly work on the S&P.

Simply amazing how the SM opens up in the morning and just flat lines to hold its’ gains pretty much all day long. PM’s OTOH actually seem to trade like a real market, if the trend is down they follow the trend.

PM’s were damn ugly today. I’m pretty sure the banksters can do just about whatever they want with prices, and of course they are helped with bogus numbers and lower estimates that are always transformed into “better than expected” earnings.

Nothing is real anymore.

I have two long term bull tgts for S&P 2398 and 2859……again I see 5 waves up from the ’09 lows @ 700…we are in the 5th wave but have only done waves 1 up and 2 dn of that 5th wave…now in 3rd up..so have to see how far that goes an equal move to the 1st tgts 2264…then we get 4th down and 5th up. That will end whole move from 700 area…then we can have major down move in huge 2nd wave down.

In short the action and wave counts show no sign of end yet.

I gave up shorting the pig a long time ago…it hurt my pocket too much.

Best Maddog

Thanks Maddog !

Posted by Farmboy @ 15:48 on July 20, 2016

I picked up a nice little profit by shorting silver yesterday. Will just set that off to the side until I see the ‘silver purge’ is over. It was the seasonal chart that made the decision to go short. As screwed up as these markets are, I was hoping the seasonal’s might just be in play in spite of.

Now the trade that is burning me I also made yesterday, and that was to short the DOW. Geesh !! How much higher can this pig go? And yet it eeks out another record high on low volume. The VIX is under 12. So I doubled down on that one. Guess I will see what tomorrow brings. If you want to run the DOW through your charts and could let me know what you are seeing ? Its ok if you come back and tell me next to BG opening up that bottom hatch this is the dumbest thing you ever heard. Besides, if I blow it on the short DOW trade I can always say “Its BG’s fault ” !

Re Tdy

I use Elliot wave analysis a lot…..a bull move has 5 waves a bear correction 3 waves. Hui has done on a weekly close only chart 5 waves up from the 99 low, we may well be entering a 3 wave correction of that whole move 99 to 273…how big the correction is in price will tell us a lot about how strong the bull is.

A mere 38 % correction would see 207…..I see this correction, if it happens as the last great chance to buy cheap in this Bull…..

Cheers

Maya @ 14:43 What Great Timing You Have,

Posted by Farmboy @ 15:18 on July 20, 2016

You just happened to catch me in a moment of divine happiness, although its a little hard to type. After working on some outside chores and confirming once again that I would not be suited for the climate in Hell whatsoever, I am indulging in a pleasure that is so good it probably is sinful. Well, except I think God probably invented the Klondike bar Himself.

Speaking of lists of things to do, and chores, some might wonder why I dont do them in the early morning while its cool, and a nice breeze wipes the sweat from my brow? Exactly ! Why mess up a perfect morning to sit on the porch and drink coffee? Better to do em during the heat of the day and then reward yourself dont you think?

Speaking of things for you to tinker up I have a request of you. Do you think you could move a project to the top of the list? Sure would be nice if you could fix that flying Zambonie UFO thing that whats her name crashed. Be nice if you could get it flying again and go pick her up. I promise I wont pick on her if she will drop by for a visit. Well, no more than I have to. 🙂

Better let you get back to the tinkering of science projects great and small. And if you invent something that the Shark Tank might be interested in how about selling me a few shares of stock before it goes public. I do have one idea for you. How about something like liquid nitrogen for the home owner to dip his Klondike bar in so it dont melt so fast? I think it would be a winner !

I have a sister who lives in Incline Village and has for 30+ years. My days there were 1948-1952 at Tahoe Campground outside of Tahoe City. Nothing like today. Snowed in in the winter, two lane road around the lake and went through Cave Rock Tunnel. Sometimes we had to ski to school during winter and we had mandatory ski lessons one day per week at Granlibakken Ski Lodge. Had to be towed in on tow ropes behind a weasel (track machine).  The whole town was on one party line with hand crank telephones. Our ring was 2 longs and a short and there were no secrets in that town. LOL!!!

In spite of his slacking ways Buygold is  sincere and holds the world’s record for patience as it has been years now since he ordered parts for his broken coffee machine. Thankfully, none went down with the scuttled vessel.

And yes, as you can see, Wanka makes sure he continues to receive his daily rations. So  I wouldn’t feel too sad for Buygold.

Course, Im beginning to think he has slid off his chores to take a snooze under the palm trees. Perhaps it is time to send out the “All Hands On Deck” order. Would be good to hear from BG and a host of others that have not checked in lately. Think would be a great moral booster on a day like today to hear from them.

Happiness!   Amen to that.

Funny how life doesn’t turn out like one plans… or wants.  But making the best of what you have and enjoying it is a good life!  I’ve got several decades of electronics tinker projects as well as all the home improvement stuff to make the volcano jungle ranch more self-sufficient.  This unexpected ‘retirement’ is turning out to be a blessing of personal time available.  You won’t catch ME napping!  (Ahem!)

Funny. I went to High School at Incline Village in the early 70’s. Great place to grow up! When were you at Tahoe? South Shore?

I’d bet dollars to doughnuts that your posting problems are related to your being on satellite internet.

I hope you all are putting together or tweaking your shopping lists. Re miners with decent market caps. $125 million and up.

In general the best past performers take the biggest hits, and have the best % spring backs. Another possible choice is noting the ones that had held up the best, the least or smallest drops on a correction.
