PERSONAL COMMENT:
There is another, lower pile not shown: “Unemployed”
It is a small pile, and I have since fallen off that pile also (so I don’t increase the ‘unemployed’ numbers. I’m down at the bottom of the canyon, along the river of ‘forced retirement’ .
I do pity the younger generations. They will suffer the worst, without a clue as to what to do about it.

Actually, I never picked up the wind and flood insurance policies. The ranch is on a bit of a slope with no low areas, so standing flooding is not possible there. And the place has withstood winds since the 70’s with no damage until Hurricane Iselle in 2014… that was when the big albizia trees on the lot fell on the house roof on the prior owners. Those trees have been removed and that hazard no longer exists, so I’m not worried about wind damage any more. The house is low and well secured.
All I bought was the lava-zone fire insurance for an outrageous price because I had planned to rent out the place, but Not anymore. I plan to drop the fire insurance next year. Lava threat has gone away for now. All I carry is Liability insurance in case someone gets hurt on the property.
LESTER close pass will be about 24 hours from now. Hurricane watch is still posted for Maui and Oahu, so we are not out of the woods yet. Even the fringes can be damaging. Latest NOAA forecast says:
HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND
----------------------
WIND: Hurricane conditions are possible over
Maui County on Saturday with tropical storm conditions
possible as early as late tonight.
Hurricane conditions are possible over Oahu Saturday night.
SURF: Large swells generated by Lester will build
across Hawaiian waters tonight and Saturday.
Surf generated by these swells will peak
during the weekend across the main Hawaiian Islands,
becoming very large and possibly damaging
along exposed shorelines.
RAIN: Heavy rains associated with Lester
may impact Maui county and Oahu
Saturday and Sunday.

105 winds but looks like it’s gonna miss the Islands. Surfs up. Looks like you lucked out Maya. I still thinks you should keep your hurricane and flood insurance. The southern states get that all the time, then it changes direction, then stop listening, then a storm finally does hit.

South Carolina has successfully deployed an aerial “nuke” chemical weapon designed to kill pollinators and obliterate the food supply.
It also causes nerve damage and autism in humans.
This deliberate carpet-bombing of neurotoxic chemicals onto civilian populations is part of an insidious strategy to damage the brains of the population (and make people more submissive and easy to control).

I never made it to the Blue Ridge or oceans there. I was in the Marieta north I think area looking at houses. Quieterbut a few I liked till I found what nurses made compared to here. I heard a nurse bought a house I almost did. Nor the laser show. That sounds like fun. As far as the grandkids I have a hard time leaving anywhere without the kids wondering where and how long yet alone take the grandkids kids. All this BS with Homeland security has had a opposite effect on the next generation a far as flying because most were so young when the towers went down and they made it worse. One Homeland security B tried to tell my daughter she needed a passport to go to Aruba in Florida. They were changing it but not till the next year. Making he feel like she couldn’t go. She seemed to like her husband. I’m glad I was there and laid into her. She said as far as next year she knows. I said then why did you lie to her like that! She just had this smirk on her face. I wanted to take the grandson because there’s no real waa es there but they wernt so sure about another country. The other grandparents kept him. They were hiring people like that off the street from pizza boxes and other common sites.
Love the grandkids but when I take time off its well deserved so all I can say is it’s their parents turn. 🙂 I can do drivable trips with them. They have two light shows at Disney that’s like movies in color and the Famtasia one boats come out in the water and battle the fairy town bad guys in top of the light show. Quite a show for the young ones. Butt it’s not as good as putting up a blanket with a bucket of chicken or bacon wrapped fruit lol that doesn’t cost as much either. Gope that doesn’t change. Disney was a joke if you reserved seats. They have this scam watch the show at a table with food. Well I paid for that to find first you have to stand in a line to get the verification. Then a few hours before the show you have to go back to pick your seats first come first serve which take a hour to find out there just pull out chairs in lines. Then you have to come back again before the show to be seated and they just hand you a box of food. We’re all thinking the same thing and they make sure you can’t get your money back on the same day. It’s easier to just pick a place and go early than standing in lines all day you could be in the park for that. I went alone so they wouldn’t have to go through that. So the laser show sounds better. Maybe I’ll find the time to head that way but like you say in cooler weather. I did Florida in summer for daughter for Disneyworld and it’s quite something to get acclimated to when your not used to it. When we got back it was hotter here but felt cooler.

The 19 million dollar a year second string quarterback who is causing all sorts mischievous this week. If you say earn 30,000 dollars a year it would take you 633 years to make what he does in a year.

“As none other than Milton Friedman declared in the late 1990’s, the 1930’s were consistent with nothing but tight money conditions in the real economy no matter how much reflation occurred. The economy was growing, but it wasn’t growth. The level of employment in 1939 was but equal to the peak in 1929, despite a decade’s worth of population expansion along the way. Factory employment in September 1939 was 7.6% below September 1929; factory payrolls were 13.8% less in comparison of the same two months.
Again, this should all sound frighteningly familiar. Employment around the world has never recovered despite this “recovery.” Central banks are mystified as to why inflation won’t respond to their repeated and theoretically impressive prodding. And most damning of all, interest rates in the 2010’s have behaved as if it was the 1930’s again, not in terms of the size of the collapse but an almost perfect replica of the global economy’s inability to restore growth. The yield curve and money rate shriveling, all around the world in stunningly remarkable proportions, are not additional “stimulus”, they are signaling a depression.”- Jeffrey Snider

So … I go to Sears today to buy a present for a friend, a set of woodworking chisels. Craftsmen, can’t go wrong right? I go in and the place is like a tomb, only a few customers, outnumbered by staff. The Craftsmen chisels they have are Made in China and look real cheap, they look like Kmart specials. So I go over to Home Depot and they have chisels, made in America, at a better price and much better quality and I get those.
Obviously Sears could source their chisels in the US but chooses not to. When Sears goes BK their “lifetime” warranty on Craftsmen tools will mean nothing.

We have the Blueridge Mts, Ocean shores, and a little bit of everything in between. Stone Mtn is still a good day trip for young and old alike. I have been waiting for it to cool off a bit before I take my blanket and bucket of KFC and watch the Laser show & Fireworks. This video does not even come close but gives you an idea to why millions have enjoyed this uniquely southern event.

Ok, Im outta here. Its football season and I am heading to another great Southern tradition, Friday night High School Football! The young man who cuts the yard is the Quarterback at that local high school and I promised him I would be there to watch him play tonight. Mostly, Im hoping to meet his parents and tell them what a great job they are doing raising a hard working and well mannered man. Plus, think its a great way to start the weekend. Best, Farmboy

Here are five of the most outrageous statements Clinton made in that three-and-a-half hour FBI interview:
1. She cited her 2012 concussion as the reason that she cannot remember details of briefings during her “transition out of office.”
2. She said she never even thought whether emails she exchanged on a future U.S. drone attack should be classified.
3. She said she thought the “C” before a paragraph indicated alphabetical order. The C actually stands for “classified.”
4. She said no one ever raised concerns to her about her use of a private email server.
5. She said she could not recall any training on how to handle classified information.”

Comment: First, its hard to believe CNBC posted this article since they, like most of the media, are big Hillary fans. A tip of the hat to CNBC for acting like journalist’s on rare occasions. Second, if you dont think these 5 points are of concern to her election, please read the full article. And last, while this news (See Drudge for much much more) has a long holiday weekend to ‘go away’, I predict the markets are going to take a dump on tuesday. I picked up a load of Short Dow shares (SDOW) in the last minute today, so lets see what happens. I think this latest Hillary news is going to play big on Tuesday morning as the markets freak out that she is really in trouble. It will not be all fun and games this weekend in the Hamptons. More like, OMG !!

I think it was around 2002 the last time I was in Georgia. Someone out there has got a pic of me sitting next to a clown down town that I walked up to t tak to one of them, That clown didn’t talk was like a mime. A Afro American. Actually can’t remember lawas so busy in those years. I liked it there but wasnt there in the summer though. Plus a short distance to the Islands with great resturants. You can’t even get a whole lobster here not to mention the meal with it for 19 bucks like the islands if you know where to go. Cost much more here. Yeah aware your a meat potatoes or you think your starving kind of guy. That’s why I thought it up to find someone already did. Lol Sometimes I wonder when they say factors for likg llofe aside from doing things to go against it are being a man. Is it being a man or his diet. They think fruits ” less in sweets” and vegetables are for rabbits. I bet you’d love the Brazilian resturants. They give you a sign to say stop or they keep bringing you meat slices of different kinds. Chillies are part of a group that has a certain degree of Neuro toxins in them. When I learned that it was about over with chili. Before then I could keep up with the best of them lol
Your mushroom burger sounds good.

FBI releases Hillary Clinton email investigation documents
“The FBI on Fri
day released a detailed report on its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state, as well as what appears to be a summary of her interview with agents, providing the most thorough look yet at the probe that has dogged the campaign of the Democratic presidential nominee.”
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/fbi-releases-hillary-clinton-email-investigation-documents/2016/09/02/21bd3682-704c-11e6-8365-b19e428a975e_story.html
FBI releases Hillary Clinton email report
”
The documents contained numerous instances in which Clinton did not recall specific emails or incidents, including on classified information procedures.
Clinton repeatedly told the FBI she lacked recollection of key events. She said she “could not recall any briefing or training by State related to the retention of federal records or handling classified information,” according to the FBI’s notes of their July 2 interview with Clinton.”
FBI: Hillary Clinton Lost Cell Phones with Classified Emails
”
“[Huma] Abedin and [former Clinton aide Monica] Hanley indicated the whereabouts of Clinton’s [mobile] devices would frequently become unknown once she transitioned to a new device,” one report indicates.
On other occasions, a staffer would destroy Clinton’s old mobile phones “by breaking them in half or hitting them with a hammer,” the FBI documents reveal.
The fact that Clinton’s staff attempted to destroy her old smartphones whenever they could indicates that they knew there was sensitive information on the devices.”
“One report notes that Clinton is known to have used 11 smartphones while Secretary of State, and 2 thereafter. Investigators sought all 13 mobile devices, but two had been destroyed and none of the others could be found.”

Comment: Lost 11 mobile phones with classified information on them !!! You kidding Me !!! Wonder how many foreign ‘donors’ walked out of her office with a souvenir ? Hell, nobody had to hack her bathroom server, she was dropping intel like some feed pigeons in the park. Hillary drops cell phones faster than Bill drops his pants !

even better than adding a can of Red Bull to the coffee pot. Powerful stuff you brewing up there.
We be looking good in the PM patch today. Just need to hold on to some of these gains going into the close. And good to hear you are getting a small break in the storm. Just need Treefrog to check in when he gets the chance.
Thanks for the info on the software grabber. Figures, I probably got the laziest one. Sometimes it grabs em, sometimes not. Who cares as long as the PM’s keep grabbing traction.

I have accepted almost every kind of diversity and culture when it comes to food. I honestly can tell you I will eat nearly anything, as long as it’s wrapped in bacon. And are you pulling my leg? Folks pour bacon drippings down the drain ? How the hell they gonna make sausage gravy for their buttermilk biscuits ?
Seriously , I am trying to eat better and appreciate your looking out for me. By the way, when is the last time you have visited Atlanta? I think our population has become quite diverse in all cultures and culinary experiences. A group of friends are planning on dining at a Moroccan restaurant in the coming weeks. And one of my favorite hang outs is a small Thai place. Im pretty sure those spices keep the tubes cleaned out. 🙂
And let me tell you, for a red meat kinda guy, I have perfected the Portobello Burger into some mighty fine eating. My ‘Secret’ is an overnight soak in Italian Dressing marinate. Soooo Good it will make you wanna smack your mama.

1.) Farmboy is UP
2.) Gold & Silver is UP
3.) LESTER is tracking to the Northerly side, widening the gap to Hawaii a bit.
Farmfrog: Animated GIFs work fine on the Oasis… provided they are running when you post them. Some graphics software will only grab ONE stillframe, though. The problem likely is with your graphic software that ‘grabs’ the GIF and only takes one frame, instead of the whole sequence of frames. My railroad flashers are all animated GIFs.

Yep Calif focuses on lower fat diets but it’s not always practiced. Maybe that’s what’s wrong with some people minds. Plus too many fast foods on every corner literally. Like someone said once you asked the young what would you do if the stores were empty theyd say go to a fast food. The difference is except some Mexican food it’s less spicy and doesn’t use lard. Lard is not too good for you. Yep I know people used to make sandwiches out of it. But it doesn’t get that cold here. I figure if you don’t pour it down the sink so it won’t clog up the pipes you don’t want to pour it in your body. There are healthier ways to get cholesterol. Just a balance of how much. Calif is a blend of every culture cooking so we’re used to diversity but the problen is that some cultures thanks to Demos open borders would like to take over if they could. But. in some ways it’s harder because there is such a large diversity they can’t target out one culture to demonize like their trying to do in the south. ” If you let them.”

I think Id have to take a class on that information but good to know. That’s one thing up can do if you own a apple. For 99 a year you can go in any time you want and tell them what your going in to learn ahead of time and get one to one. I signed up for it once but was too busy to go. Apple stores here are so busy even with a appointment you have to wait on top of it. But it’s better than taking a class because you can learn what you want or need to learn.
