The fifth item is about Hawaii’s bees:
“Seven species of Hawaiian yellow-faced bee in the genus Hylaeus, once the most abundant insects on the tropical islands,” writes the Free Thought Project, “are now so scarce that they are one of the state’s least observed pollinators.”
It seems odd since there’s not a a whole lot of agriculture in Hawaii, so there’s not an abundance of insecticides being sprayed. I dunno. Of course we expect you to be an expert on all things Hawaiian.
