“opportunity to butt out”

3 hurrahs for that!

What we are doing in Syria is infuriatingly asinine and dangerous. Let’s cooperate with the Russians and kick ISIS ass and go home. I don’t care a bit about Assad.

Nobody On The Planet Needs Any MORE Oil Being Produced

The Feds 72 Dollar Index, that created $145/bbl Oil, and $4.40 Gasoline, combined with slowing global business and related shipping activity has fixed the high priced oil problems. And created low priced oil problems. 🙂

“…what are we going to do about it? Go to war with China? I doubt it and I hope we’re not that crazy.”

We already ARE that crazy in Syria with the Russians.  Why not a two-front war?  We live in interesting times.

Vietnam has kept quiet about China developing the offshore shoals.  China is Vietnam’s biggest trading partner, and seems to acquiesce to whatever China wants to do offshore.  Now the Philippines goes that route also.  It looks like a perfect opportunity for the US to butt-out and leave them alone.  But will we?

“WE should defend Vietnams RIGHTS to that OIL…”

Evidently there is oil off of the Philippines and also off of Vietnam.

I have a question. If China starts setting up drilling rigs on the territory that should be controlled by Vietnam, what are we going to do about it? Go to war with China? I doubt it and I hope we’re not that crazy.

Donald Trump And His Ways Being Promoted, Nothing Is A Coincidence

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 12:11 on October 21, 2016

Put yourselves in TPTB’s shoes. Their 100 year old “ways” of increasing debts money supplies, budget deficits, liar loans etc etc to keep their long term global “agenda” going finally ran its course, culminating in the Great Recession of 2009.

In my view, what finally happened, created a new need for a new Global Agenda. This is simple stuff. Away from integrated governments, interdependent countries, labor forces, and financial systems. In other words, global socialism, also known as globalization.

Four engines on the Boaing 747 “economy” was gradually over time, changed to one big “global” engine for the STATED sake of lower costs and lower CPI inflation numbers for U.S. Consumers, and increased efficiency and productivity globally.

As if the planet Earth was competing against another developed planet near by. So the ONLY way to save the old historic agenda today would be for TPTB to find and merge with another wealthy planet, which we know is not going to happen.

I’m sure there have been many global closed door meetings after that ’08 melt down.

Last night there was somewhat of a ritualistic dinner held.

It was the Al Smith dinner, a white-tie affair, and a ritual that Presidential candidates, very late in the game, have usually taken part in.  This year was no different, with both Hillary and Trump sporting their white-tie best.

But this is not your usual sort of passe’ thing. No, it’s a benefit, and as are many benefits in New York it was stuffed with priestly types and an extraordinary price tag — but, as is frequently the case when there are so many with a priestly bent headlining the event the money actually goes to a decent cause — in this case Catholic Charities.  And, I might add, rumors are that they raised a record amount.  Bravo.

This dinner is in fact a roast, and The Donald went first.  He served up a menu that began with some self-deprecating humor, as is the usual fare.  But then, after getting the crowd nice and warm, with chuckles and even roars of approval, he dropped the hammer:

“Hillary is so corrupt — She got kicked off the Watergate Commission.  How corrupt do you have to be to get kicked off the Watergate Commission?”

It didn’t end there, and there were boos.  Of course there were boos: Trump was in a hard-left, hard-Democrat audience.

But Trump didn’t use last night to level charges, he dropped truth bombs.  That Hillary was fired from the Watergate commission isn’t an accusation, it’s a fact.  That she and her campaign traded slurs against Catholics (and I remind you, this was a Catholic Charities event) in their emails isn’t a charge either — it is also a fact.  Yet there she sat, in a room full of Catholic bishops and priests, raising money for Catholic Charities — people who, by her own admission, she believes hold anachronistic beliefs that require an “Arab spring” sort of cleansing, and that’s just what she thinks Government ought to actively promote — under her administration, of course.

Donald didn’t roast Hillary, he BBQed her.  That Hillary had the audacity to show up for such an event after what she and her campaign have traded in emails about Catholics was the height of hypocrisy bar none, and Donald gave her no quarter.  The audience was squirming, but that’s what you have to do from time to time — take that sacred cow up on stage, praise it, lay down a few laughs, and then show the world by giving a good yank on the cord that the reason it won “largest cow” at the fair is that someone stuck a 4″ drain stopper up it’s butt.

It’s funny how, when nobody can cheat, nobody can get the questions beforehand because there aren’t any and you get the lectern to yourself for a few minutes you really get to find out who always seems to find a way to use marked cards at the poker table (begging the obvious question as to who their confederates are) and who plays chess — a game where it’s damn hard to cheat and being able to think ahead of the other guy is crucial to success.

Trump has, through this campaign, showed that he’s a grandmaster at laying traps and getting people to step in them.  This makes thrice that he’s managed to punk the news media, getting them to cover what they didn’t want to not by lying to them but rather by leading them to believe through context that they were going to see something other than what showed up.

Last night may have garnered Trump some boos in the room, but they were boos driven by discomfort of the truth being shoved in the face of so many who claim to wear a robe and stand for universal truth, given by God — yet who have backed a candidate, publicly and otherwise, that has woven her entire professional and political life from a lie.

Only a matter of time before such madness happens…if Hellary steals the vote.

China and the Philippines could begin exploiting long-untapped energy reserves in the South China Sea

Posted by ipso facto @ 10:11 on October 21, 2016

China and the Philippines could begin exploiting long-untapped energy reserves in the South China Sea, according to reports coming out of this week’s meeting between Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte and high-ranking Chinese officials — including a Thursday sit-down with Chinese President Xi Jinping — in Beijing. How soon that may happen remains unclear, however, as Duterte cautioned reporters that he has not been empowered by his Congress to finalize any energy exploration deal with his Chinese counterparts.

Earlier reports by Philippine newspaper the “Inquirer” suggested that Beijing and Duterte were set to enter into an agreement to explore for energy sources in a part of the South China Sea close to the Philippine coastline. China has long sought to exploit what it believes could be more than 100 billion barrels of oil and hundreds of trillions of cubic feet of natural gas lurking beneath the South China Sea. However, a litany of overlapping territorial claims in the region by the more than half-dozen nations rimming the South China Sea has rendered broad energy development there a nonstarter.

The fact that potential joint development of offshore energy deposits in the region is even being discussed underscores the tectonic shift in regional foreign policy undertaken by Duterte since winning the Filipino presidency in May.

Regular updates are posted Monday through Friday at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update).

Early results from their final debate are in, and Donald Trump remains barely ahead of Hillary Clinton in the latest White House Watch.

Newly released information shows that a State Department official offered the FBI a secret deal to take the classified rating off at least one of the e-mails Clinton sent on her private e-mail server while the FBI was investigating the matter. We’ll tell you at 10:30 this morning whether voters still disagree with the FBI’s decision not to seek a criminal indictment of Clinton for mishandling top secret information.

Eighty percent (80%) of voters believe this year’s presidential campaign is more negative than past campaigns.

Voters now rate a candidate’s business past as more important to their vote than experience in government.

Pat Buchanan today=After having expunged Christianity from our public life and public square, our establishment installed “democracy” as the new deity, at whose altars we should all worship.”

Posted by Richard640 @ 9:35 on October 21, 2016

What explains the hysteria of the establishment?

In a word, fear.

The establishment is horrified at the Donald’s defiance because, deep within its soul, it fears that the people for whom Trump speaks no longer accept its political legitimacy or moral authority.

It may rule and run the country, and may rig the system through mass immigration and a mammoth welfare state so that Middle America is never again able to elect one of its own. But that establishment, disconnected from the people it rules, senses, rightly, that it is unloved and even detested.

Having fixed the future, the establishment finds half of the country looking upon it with the same sullen contempt that our Founding Fathers came to look upon the overlords Parliament sent to rule them.

Establishment panic is traceable to another fear: Its ideology, its political religion, is seen by growing millions as a golden calf, a 20th-century god that has failed.

Trump is “talking down our democracy,” said a shocked Clinton.

After having expunged Christianity from our public life and public square, our establishment installed “democracy” as the new deity, at whose altars we should all worship. And so our schools began to teach.

Half a millennia ago, missionaries and explorers set sail from Spain, England and France to bring Christianity to the New World.

Venezuela Quashes Hopes to Oust President Maduro Through Recall

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:16 on October 21, 2016

A nearly year-long push by Venezuela’s opposition to gather support for a referendum recall against President Nicolas Maduro hit a wall late Thursday after the National Electoral Council suspended the next phase of the process, cementing the ruling party’s hold on power.

The opposition was preparing to gather signatures of 20 percent of registered voters next week to try and trigger a recall vote before year-end which could have prompted fresh elections that polls show Maduro would lose. If the referendum is held next year, a loss at the polls for the president would mean that his vice president takes over until 2019.

Many sites including Twitter, Shopify and Spotify suffering outage

Posted by ipso facto @ 9:11 on October 21, 2016

A number of popular sites and services are down right now for many users, including Twitter, SoundCloud, Spotify and Shopify. The cause appears to be a sweeping outage of DNS provider Dyn, as a result of a DDOS attack, according to a post on Hacker News.

We’re tracking the outage and will let you know if we discover anything further about outage length, cause or sites affected.

Other sites experiencing issues include Github, Airbnb, Reddit, Freshbooks, Heroku and Vox Media properties. Users accessing these sites might have more or less success depending on where they’re located, as some European and Asian users seem not to be encountering these issues.

Dyn says that the DDOS attack affecting its customers is mostly impacting the U.S. East coast, and specifically Managed DNS customers. Engineers are working on “mitigating” the issue, according the DNS provider.

0bee6707d5 I have a Toyota 2007 Matrix. Last year got a letter about faulty airbag.  They advised against anybody riding in the front passenger seat til it was fixed. This summer was told that the part was available.  Made an appointment at a local dealer to have it repaired. Have no idea what they did other than the fact that they said they  fixed it. The airbag light on the dashboard is still illuminated. So who knows.

goldcountry @ 20:46 I Think Trump Is Doing A Wise Thing By ‘Whining’ About The Rig

Posted by Farmboy @ 7:19 on October 21, 2016

and based on Wiki and Project Veritas, he seems to have every right to bring this to everyone’s attention. Voters, and I hope the Media, will be eyes wide open looking for corruption in the voting places. It may be enough of a deterrent to keep the rigging to a low roar. Its clear the Russians have got nothing over the likes of Soros, and the Black Ops of the DNC itself.

I think the thing most revealing about the Veritas tapes was not the fact they go to such extremes ( DNC), it was how they wallowed in their gloating of their efforts. Kind like the same attitude the banksters have in rigging the PM’s.

I think America has had enough abuse from ‘The Machine’.

Both tired, but one looks and acts like a Winner. One acts like the guilty one. Who cares if it was the Russians, or the man in the moon, her Emails speak for themselves, and reminds us of a verse from long ago. ” Be sure your sins will find you out.” Her past has caught up with her present, as is often the case.
