Even in places like Oregon there is depressed areas needing jobs and struggling while these spoiled brats and thugs in inner city Portland are rioting. The reason is clear. They don’t want jobs or care about people who do, they want and are voting for dole outs. Young women who don’t want to take responsibility over their body want pro choice and don’t care if we lose our constitutional rights, 1st and 2nd over it. Saw a student wining, who’s gonna pay for my birth control pills? Does she really think this money doled out by the gov is free? How bout getting a job, Duh? Oh yeah there are no jobs because why they were sticking a pacifier in their mouth and safe rooms with play dough they were outsourcing their jobs and eroding their rights. Do they think they can go out there and compete with those experienced in the life of hard knocks when things get difficult? These teachers are setting them up for failure worried only about themselves in a I got mine you get yours attitude.

First, eight years ago, and again four years ago, America elected a President. Fully half, give or take a couple of percent, disagreed with the outcome.
There were exactly zero riots, fires, “mass protests” and similar following that outcome despite the fact that half the population vehemently disagreed with it.
This time around, not so much.

Good Morning Oasis, Been One Hell of a Week
Last night I decided to incorporate a movie into my Veterans Day observance. Went and seen Mel Gibson’s lastest, Hacksaw Ridge. Based on a true story, a true soldier that kept to his faith and made a difference. Highly recommend seeing this one. It has its share of gore, and sometimes both the visuals and sound effects a little too real, but the storyline one worth watching and remembering imho.
Second, a shout out to Winedoc this morning with a Thank You to him. Back some years ago in my struggles with the bottle Winedoc sent me the song Hallelujah, by Lenard Cohen. It made a difference then, and still does today. We never know how we can impact others lives for the good. Thought the following tribute to Cohen was moving, considering the source. Not the best quality, but the message comes through loud and clear. A message of healing that our land is in desperate need of at this time.
Just a couple reminders that life is more than markets or elections. Sometimes I lose sight of the ‘more’.Thanks Moggy for reminding me.
