Yes, these companies leaving should be faced with new companies taking over the plant and getting preference over the ones leaving and hiring out of country. Not just government but local people as in ” who do you want to buy from.” Instead of unions they should be vested in the company ” part owner” so their raises are directly related to how well the business is doing and have a say on decisions including leaving for another country which won’t happen less they get a monthy pay check out of it. But that can be risky because that country could then do the same or take it over.
