Agree on all counts. SM soars again probably on the Goldman/Soro’s pick for treasury secretary, dollar soars because every other currency is crap.
Rates are surging because the economy is great.
I really hope Trump doesn’t disappoint by picking Romney.

but I’m giving Trump some leeway and still trusting his judgement for now. The game of Fox and Hounds has not even officially begun yet. Is Trump crazy? Or is he crazy like a fox? By offering some, like Romney, an olive branch in one hand, does he hold a club in the other hand? Quite a chess move if he can get his ‘enemies’ to join up and be the one’s to execute his plans. Going to be interesting. For sure, more is going on than what is revealed in the headlines.

Strange behavior by Trump, all his other picks made sense….. u can’t drain the Swamp and leave the nastiest one of all untouched.
He has pissed off vast numbers of voters…someone else will now have to step up.

Nine months ago the video of a plant-full of American workers getting the news that they were ‘fired’ due to Carrier International moving its air-conditioning plant from Indiana to Mexico went viral and became a meme for Trump’s “America First” plans. Today, according to CNBC’s David Faber, the Trump team and United Technologies have reached an agreement on keeping close to 1,000 factory jobs at the Carrier plant in Indiana.

A message as timely now, as it was back then. Perhaps even more so with the political strife and no less than the future of Italy at stake. Some even say as Italy goes, so goes the EU.
THANK YOU, for translating the ‘writing on the wall’. Your new nickname is Danielle. 🙂

216K new jobs created, although last month was revised down 28K
Makes sense because of all the temporary holiday jobs
Personal income up 0.6%, personal spending up 0.3%
Yawn

MM3, Maddog – concur, don’t like the Mnunchin pick at all. If he picks Romney for SOS it would be a huge blow to his supporters, I’m hoping he let Romney off easy last night but I don’t know. I favor Tulsi Gabbard personally.
AuGirl – really glad you’re back, it’s a tough job but someone has to keep that Farmboy in line…
and then there’s gold and the SM…ugh…at least silver looks like it’s trying to find a bottom

[soaring oil is inflationary…soaring oil is deflationary because consumers will spend less and business costs will rise depressing profits eye etc]
By Karolin Schaps and Amanda Cooper | LONDON
Oil prices jumped more than 7 percent on Wednesday as some of the world’s largest oil producers gathered in Vienna to agree on a production cut that could be bigger than expected.
Brent crude futures LCOc1 were up $3.33 at $49.71 per barrel by 1102 GMT (6:02 a.m. ET), on course for their biggest one-day move in nine months. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were $2.95 higher at $48.18 a barrel.
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries started a meeting at 0900 GMT on Wednesday at its Vienna headquarters to discuss terms of a potential deal to cut production in an effort to prop up prices that have fallen by more than half since 2014 due to oversupply.

Even the super tolerant Dutch threw the Somalians out, unfortunately they ended up in the UK and now go robbing shops 20/30 strong armed with machetes !!!!!! When they are not fighting other gangs……Scum of the earth.
Needless to say never any mention of this in UK Press.

Agreed re Mnuchin doesn’t look good at all, why make life harder for yrself by appointing with all that baggage.
Yes it is loyalty…but he has a huge hill to climb, if he does get appointed…..and if the Donald goes with Romney as well, then he will be a 1 termer at best.
