Loading ...Yes they had a quake on the northern coast. I was up there for awhile and for the last one in 1992. Buildings were damaged and people injured. I happened to be covering for someome on NOC shift at a hospital. It took power out and generator came on so had to get out extension cord to plug into to generation plugs. Had to during the quake get some in cover and secure a oxygen tank in a patients room before it fell over and cracked Cuz theyll take off like a rocket. No wrench I found to turn off the gas if I had to had to find one in maintance room and what a mess that was and could of been injured from all the broken glass in there. Then the generator didn’t turn off when the lights came back on so had to go manually turn it off. It was a rolling quake. Like you were on a boat and a nurse actually got sea sick from it. The one in Sylmar was a shake and major rocking back and forth. It just that time of year. Where Im at now not likely, old settled groujd and no nearby faults. Only if something really big happened. During 92 a homeless teen I took in for awhile no pay thing.. Nice kid bad parents.. his counselor said that he happened to be standing outside looking at the ocean when it hit and saw a bolt of lightning come up out of the ocean. Instead of going down into the ocean it was coming up from the ocean.
