“It is not at all clear to me, just viewing this from the outside, that this hacking into the DNC and the RNC was not a false flag operation,” former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton told Fox News’ Eric Shawn on an appearance Sunday.
“We just don’t know. But I believe that intelligence has been politicized in the Obama administration to a very significant degree,” he said.
It’s McCarthyism all over again, except this time it’s the Democrats organizing a “Blame Russia” witch-hunt.
Obama’s move to pin the election hacks on Russian agents sounds more like a distraction from what’s actually IN the email exposed by WikiLeaks, and that’s a cynical operation to undermine the Democratic Party’s primary process and hand the nomination to Hillary Clinton.
Americans rejected that ugly backroom approach to choosing leaders – but Obama’s move gives Clinton one more chance to seize control over the nation at the last minute.
The release of “information” blaming Russia seems designed to influence the members of the Electoral College, who meet next week to formally select the president.
But let’s hope they don’t do anything hasty as a result of U.S. “intelligence.”
As the Trump transition team reminds us, the CIA doesn’t exactly have a sterling reputation.
“These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction,” said the statement from the transition team released over the weekend.
Indeed, the intelligence community SWORE there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq… and sent Gen. Colin Powell to the United Nations with maps and satellite images of that supposed evidence.
That set the stage for the disastrous war in Iraq, which cost trillions to carry out, lead to thousands of American deaths and a generation of wounded warriors we are struggling to provide care for.
Now, we’re supposed to march into war against Russia because these people claim Moscow may have leaked emails from the Clinton campaign?
Bolton, reportedly in the running for top jobs in the administration – and no friend to Russia or its leader, Vladimir Putin – insists this smells fishy.
Even former CIA spooks are saying it.
