A rare catch… the old Northern Pacific “Mainstreeter”, still in NP colors after the Burlington Northern merger. I always liked the two-tone green livery. It was appropriate for the green forests of the Northwest. This train was the second-tier train between Chicago and Seattle, making all the small town stops that the ‘North Coast Limited’ flew past.
