Canada’s prime minister for his meeting the next morning with president Trump. Linked below is Tristin Hopper’s first draft of the briefing.
Just to make sure there is “regional representation” from across Canada, maybe the Okanagan guys (Macroman, Silverngold) could ensure that British Columbia’s interests are represented in these briefing notes, Auandag could maybe do the same for the prairie provinces, and Winedoc for the maritime provinces. Mr. Hopper could contact Rex Murphy directly to get his first-hand input for Newfoundland/Labrador interests. I assume that Quebec/Ontario interests are already well covered by Mr. Trudeau himself.
How about Nunavut/Northwest Territories/Yukon vantage points? Maybe Auandag could include their geography as well, as part of a bigger “western sedimentary basin” region in Canada. On second thought, maybe its better to leave out Yukon/NWT/Nunavut from Monday’s briefing perspective; those jurisdictions are geographically too close to Russia to handle on Monday – better to leave them on the back burner until the Trump-Putin relationship is better known.
So unless there are crucial amendments or additions to these briefing notes over the weekend from the different regions of Canada, I guess Canada might have to wing it with Hopper’s first draft below. Have a good Monday, all. Cheers, Equiz.
